Staff were wonderful, so kind and considerate, even more so when they had to deal with a member of the public who had collapsed at the reception desk. They were very professional and civic minded. The beds were so very comfortable. I can’t tell you! Absolutely loved them. Lovely sheets, lovely pillows, top drawer.

My son couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi at all, so I didn’t bother trying. And the right hand side bed light didn’t work, but I forgot to say that to the staff. We swapped the lightbulbs over - the left one to the right, but it didn’t make any difference so it’s obviously a problem at the Electrical end. Oh and the TV was a bit hit and miss, the channel we wanted kept losing reception. Still we were only there for one night and it didn’t matter and like I say, having a lovely staff made all the difference. Plus they were the best hotel beds we’ve ever had! The pillows weren’t hard rocks. Have a lovely fluffy had a very good sleep - we will be back.

Fresh clean towels Polite helpful staff Great location for beach and mountain walks Free parking When we realised the hotel was in the services we worried it would be very loud - it actual fact it was much quieter than many travel places we have previously stayed in - we rarely heard anything even from neighbouring rooms.

Bathroom a little dated and shower doors tricky to close - could do with some tlc - but fully operational / shower had good power and was plenty hot water. Only 2 plug sockets which were used for TV and kettle but we read reviews before visiting so brought an extension lead so wasn't an issue for us.

Ease of booking and location. For a budget hotel, the staff were simply superb and comfortable bed too. The room was a very good size and also very clean. I was amazed when we arrived that Angela went out of her way to look after us extremely well. A great ambassador for the hotel chain she really enjoys her job and looking after the customers. Having read the previous positive reviews about this hotel and Angela and the staff he g so welcoming, it certainly makes a difference about staying here. I am glad to add a very positive e review about this location. Thank you Angela for looking after all our needs during our stay. Shopping at McArthur Glen is very nearby which is great too.

Everything was great.

The room was clean, tidy, had all that we needed. Good shower, nice bed & bedding. Good facilities at the reception, able to buy snacks, drinks etc if we needed them. Always somebody at the reception in case we needed anything - very helpful.

The room was quite bare, it just had a desk for the tv/tea/coffee etc. and a bed, so it had everything that we needed but there was virtually half of the room empty. I presume that this was due to it being a pet friendly hotel, but as we didn't have a pet with us it would have been nice to have a sofa or comfy chair. But as we weren't in the room much this time it wasn't an issue.

Excellent value for money. Lovely staff especially the lady on reception (sorry, don’t remember your name) but mum of Logan. Room basic but perfectly adequate for my needs. Good sized bathroom with step in shower. Bright lights in both rooms - makes such a difference! Good sized towels.

For the money paid it was very good value. More frills would have meant higher cost. Both my room and my sister’s room next door had leaks from the toilet but it was around 9pm so wouldn’t have expected that to be resolved that night. We certainly didn’t want to change rooms. We were given extra bath mats to put down, which was fine. It would have been lovely to have a decent restaurant on site but can’t hold the hotel responsible for that.

We were impressed at the cleanliness of the room and the bed was high quality and comfortable. It was good that we could adjust the heating and open the window. Also it was quiet outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Firstly we thought the room was a little expensive for a 2* hotel (although it was not as expensive as Premier Inn). Secondly, there was nowhere nearby to have breakfast so we had to make do with pots of porridge that we bought in reception. We would also have liked an armchair in the room and for the decor to be a bit more interesting.

The member of staff on reception when we booked in was really lovely and friendly and helpful. The morning receptionist was also friendly and kind. The reception sold sweets and pot noodles which was super useful because we were hungry and tired. There was a microwave for guests use and unlimited tea and coffee. The whole hotel including the room was spotlessly clean and smelled nice and fresh. It was very cosy and warm even though it was a cold day. Its location in the motorway services was convenient, and it was tucked out of the way of the main service area so it was surprisingly very peaceful.

A cooked brekkie would have been lovely but there are food places next to it at the services so it wasn't a problem, we just went to subway which was cheap, tasty and quick which is all we needed really.

Firstly, the lovely lady Angela on the reception desk was so welcoming, she was so helpful, from signing us in, explaining where things were (coffee, tea, cutlery, plates etc, told us what time she was working til, incase we needed anything, even told us of places we might like to visit while we was there, the room was a lovely size, clean and tidy, the shower was big enough for 3 people, loved it, if we ever do the long journey there again, we will definitely stay there again, can't say anything bad at all about it, thankyou.

Everything was great, there was nothing not to like, myself and my hubby have already spoken about going back there again.

The staff were very friendly we were going to a wedding so was getting there early and needed to leave the car to catch a taxi the staff allowed us to check in early collect our keys and enter our registration to allow us to leave car we had prepared this before hand by calling them and they were very helpful over the phone

Only complaint I did have was I did find some hairs in my bath that weren’t mine but I felt this could of been down to us arriving early and them having to rush our room

We were staying at the hotel because my mother in law was in Princess of Wales Hospital very sick. The staff all went above & beyond understanding that we were coming & going all hours & had to keep extending our stay until very sadly she passed away. They all did everything they could to make it as stress free as possible for us as we were all so exhausted & emotional. Please relay our gratitude & thanks to all the staff.
