The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and well equipped. My friend and I were going to a show in Swansea Arena and the hotel couldn't be better situated, literally a five minute walk to the Arena and right in the middle of the town centre, couldn't ask for more. We were also amazed at the indoor market so much to see and absolutely thriving 😀

Our only criticism was the pillows, we both woke the next morning with a headache as the pillows were like cardboard 😔.

The room interior was a little dated and tired but we weren't in the room that much so it wasn't really an issue. There weren't many electrical plugs available but there were enough for the two of us. A extra two next to the beds themselves would be ideal though! It was a little loud outside at night at points, but this isn't really something the hotel can do anything about and it was only loud for a few minutes at a time so not a tremendous issue.

Staff were very helpful, the room was lovely and clean, and the facilities were great. We were given apt information upon check in and staff were very friendly which was lovely. The room was extremely clean and all the appliances worked perfectly. There was plenty of lighting and space to keep your things without cluttering up your space. Great value for money

The hotel was itself lovely, the only downside I could see is that depending on what you're used to the noise on the street may be a little disruptive. Personally we didn't notice much at all but of course being in the main city area you are likely to overhear city noise

Location was perfect, close to shops, bars and transport. The rooms were dated but very clean. With cleaners daily. Good selection of snacks and drinks available 24/7

The room I was in was smaller than I was expecting having paid more for extra large bed which i did't get (booked 2 rooms) the other room was a good size for 4 adults. Was given a jug of ice (staff very helpful) but it stripped the paint from dated furniture and it wasn't there for long Boiling hot rooms even though it was a cold weekend - but fans were provided when requested.

Pleasantly surprised by the room. the entrance to the Hotel made me doubious as to what the stay would be like - town center cafe entrance made me nervous - however the rooms where very comfortable and clean and beds great - all facilities we needed for our 2 night stay - lovely bath and shower and hot water on tap. Staff where very accomadationg and friendly. - breakfast was optionally delivered to out room in paper bag - as it was continental this was fine for us as we could also take left overs out with us.

Not something I didnt like - just bare in mind that Front of house in this hotel does not do the rest of hotel justice. However think this would be difficult to change - its just a friendly cafe that opens early so locals come here for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and I was able to come and go freely throughout the day making it an ideal base for my short stay. The room was small but adequate; it had tea and coffee making facilities and importantly the bed was comfortable. Refreshments could also be be bought on the premises. My room had both a bath and a shower and I could change my towels daily if necessary. The Dolphin SA1 is about 15mins walk from the railway station and not far from the bus station either. It is central to the main shops and the indoor market and also within walking distance to both the marina and the beach in Swansea bay.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The staff were fantastic, from the receptionists who were always helpful and funny, to the cafe staff who were efficient and friendly to the cleaners and housekeeping staff who were wonderful and kind and did their jobs superbly. I've never felt so comfortable and welcome even when being teased for forgetting my key multiple times a day. The staff are meant to work with people, I can't imagine others more suited to the task. The bed was comfy and clean, the bath was heavenly and there was tea and I do love a good cup of tea.

Since this box exists I suppose I have to write something. I found the layout of my room a little awkward, the TV was halfway between the desk and the bed so even the person laying closest to the television had to sit at an awkward angle to see it. There were plug sockets but they too were awkward and none were close to the bed or side table. Bring an extension cord. And as lovely as the room was when I saw the bath there were hairs on the rim and the bathroom sink is shaped with a slope over which water would flood if you weren't ever so gentle with the tap.

This hotel is close to the centre of Swansea and therefore accessible from the railway and bus stations. The rooms are of reasonable size and have an ensuite bathroom with towels provided. Tea and coffee making facilities are also available. The staff at the Dolphin are really friendly and always most helpful. It is close to the main shopping area and indoor market and a short walk from both the waterfront/marina and the beach; making it an excellent base for exploring the area. Thank you for your hospitality, I always feel welcome.

There is nothing I didn't like about staying here.

The hotel was very well situated at the heart of the city centre: it was a 10 minutes' walk from the train station (with bus links if needed), right next to the covered market and the bus station. Despite the central location, the room was fairly quiet. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Nice breakfast with a good amount of choice.

The decor is a little old-fashioned with carpet in the room, but it was very good value for money.

The room we stayed in was a good size, warm and clean with all the usual facilities and a comfy bed. We weren't disturbed by noise and both slept well. There is a cafe downstairs which is open 24hours for guests, so you can get bottles of water, or even wine, for the room and snacks whenever you need. The lady who runs the cafe in the morning is lovely and made us some cracking bacon rolls with some free brownie tasters she'd made -it'd be worth going back just for those! Overall excellent value for money.

Nothing at all. Everything was slightly better than expected for the price.
