Original White Hart, Ringwood by Marston's Inns

The location is central to the New Forest, the little market town of Ringwood is literally on the door step, with many delightful restaurants from British food to Italian cuisine, there's something for all tastes. There are many pubs, charity shops, tea rooms, clothing shops and 2 small supermarkets all within a stones throw of the accommodation. Above all everyone in this town are extremely friendly and helpful.

I would have marked everything with 5 stars but the only thing I didn't like was that the rooms could do with a microwave and a small refrigerator in them because obviously alot of people may have medication that needs to be kept in a fridge and people with babies need a fridge and microwave for milk and sterilisation of bottles etc.

Great location for exploring the New Forest and for fishing the Hampshire Avon. Ringwood is a great little market town and hasn't changed much in 40 years since I holidayed there as a child. In terms of value for money I don't think you could get any better than The Original White Hart. It is nice to see some real pubs are still out there. Old worldly decor . Three huge open fires. I think that it would nice to visit in the winter or at Christmas time. Good food and a selection of beers that are surprisingly cheap. Friendly helpful staff and free parking. Extended my original booking by one night.

Nothing I was 100 percent happy with my stay.

The hotel was just lovely, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier and the food was amazing. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside on our run before having dinner and relaxing in the bar. The bed was so comfy and because our room was fairly small, it heated up nicely.

The towel rail in the bathroom is very close to the toilet so we both got a bit of a shock when we touched it with our knees, but that’s only a small grumble. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as we’d hoped, we found hair from the previous occupant in the bath and soap suds still there.

Everybody we met, not just the amazing staff, but also the locals we so friendly. My friend had just arrived from the US and I have just moved. It was the perfect place to introduce her to England. What a lovely little town too. The tales of the haunted pub/restaurant (no we didn't see a ghost LOL) You might though HAAA. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was perfect. I'm going to go back with another friend after this visit. Thanks everyone!

There wasn't anything we didn't like

All staff were welcoming and friendly, very helpful. They welcomed us and our older children in and looked after us throughout our stay. The setting was great, with good access to everything the New Forest has to offer following a good breakfast. Service was efficient and never without a smile. As to be expected when staying in a pub, some noise around closing time, but short-lived. We've all had a brilliant stay and will definitely visit again.

Would prefer breakfast to be included in the price, but still good value. Would be handy to have more plug sockets in the rooms, but not the end of the world...just needed to plan phone charging between us!

Easy free parking, central location in town, room was small but completely adequate, Shower room was very good. Its an old property so floors not being level was all part of the charm. Windows are also old and had trouble opening and closing but we managed Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Otherwise for the price charged a comfortable and clean room.

My only wish was for some coat hooks in the room and some hanging hooks in the shower room they would have been really helpful.

Lovely staff that made us feel very welcome! Great food, we had dinner both nights we stayed instead of going out and it was brill! Such comfortable beds too, would definitely stay here again!

The only (very minor) issue we had was there wasn't many plug sockets in our room, so charging both of our cameras and phones was difficult but that's literally all I could fault this lovely place for

The cheapest room in Ringwood and also the cheapest drinks. Honest, simple and great value for money - Chris “The Boss” and his team earned this exceptional review.

The seagulls were noisy, our room had more beds than needed and it was too easy to have ‘One too many” in the Pub.

Attached, modern ground floor room conveniently located at rear of pub; very handy for spacious adequate parking. Nice walking distance to all in town.

Didn't advise when meals stopped being served... Great pizza, wings, kebab shop across the road - open late!!

Huge room, fresh and clean, with a restaurant and bar downstairs, which were both reasonably priced - the food was very good too. Very good staff. Free parking and high street location. The price! Minutes from the New Forest and less than half the cost of other hotels nearby.

Some parts could do with a lick of paint, but for the price, I was really pleased.
