Chaston Manor Hotel

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and the variety and quality of breakfasts at Chaston Manor prepared by Callum or Trudi were outstanding. Also, Callum was the perfect host, very helpful and knowledgeable, great sense of humour, and nothing was too much trouble, which was remarkable, especially as for a couple of days he was working alone. I would definitely stay there again and recommend Chaston Manor to other people.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

lovely building, easy to park. Super close to Sandown beach. Room was a great size with a dressing table. Came with coffee and tea facilities in the room and the breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection to choose from. They cater for the gluten free, vegetarian and vegans so that was wonderful to see. The staff were lovely and friendly.

We had the family room right by the main entrance, next to the reception and by the communal sofa area/bar. Room location was fine but you could hear quite clearly people enjoying a drink or two in the bar, you could hear people’s convos at the reception and people coming in an out of the building at early hours of the night. Would not recommend an actual family staying in this particular room.

From the reception to leaving everything was excellent. I travelled by bicycle and they locked it away in a shed each night. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Staff were great. Breakfasts were really good and well cooked. You need a good appetite to manage the full English but you can order exactly what you want. There is a great choice. Really great value for money.

For me it was perfect. I had a single room which for some may have been a little small but it was clean and had everything I needed.

Stayed just the one night for work. On Arrival i was shown around (lounge , TV room , Dining area , Outside , My room.) Found the building to be very clean. I had a single room and it was spot on. TV, Coffee/Tea (with milk and sugar which some places forget about) On suite shower. Breakfast was great. Full English is a gut buster. Recommended.

Exceptionally clean and tidy. Warm greetings when I arrived. All the staff were very pleasant and keen to please. The breakfast choice was very good, very well presented, and very good. The shower worked well and was kept clean. Coffee/Tea/Biscuits in the room were replaced every day

Not that I didn't like, but the garden area could do with a upgrading. The chair in my room was okay for sitting at the table, but rather uncomfortable to sit in and watch TV

Our room was perfect for two adults and two small kids (8 & 6). Bed was huge and the kids enjoy sharing the bunk bed. Plenty of parking. Breakfasts are amazing. Outside space has a playhouse for smaller kids and plenty of seating if you want to take a drink outside. Callum is all you want from a manager for a small hotel. He is polite, friendly, knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the hotel and island. We will return to this hotel.

Very friendly and accommodating staff , they even arranged for us to have breakfast early the day we were leaving , There was a great breakfast choice and it was freshly cooked and tasted delicious

Nothing The only slight downside was it would have been nice to have had a bar in the hotel for the evening but that obviously would mean extra work for the staff . However that wouldn’t stop us booking the hotel again

This was the perfect place for us - decent sized room, good location, lots of off road parking, very friendly helpful staff. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a good shower, ample storage, comfy bed and a fan which did come in handy a couple of times. Breakfast was pre ordered and we liked this as everything was freshly cooked and no waste. We had cereal, yoghurt and a full english every day which was the best ever - perfectly cooked and piping hot, well done to the chef! The garden with tables and chairs, a couple of sunloungers was a bonus and we liked to relax there after breakfast before heading out for the day and sometimes when we got back in the evening. The small paddling pool was great to cool your feet off after lots of walking! There was also a summerhouse area with some garden games available like skittles and jenga and a few childrens toys. We stayed for 7 nights and being within walking distance of sea front, restaurants, train station and local attractions was important as we didn't want to drive every day. Cameron and the team were great and have a good relationship with the guests, being happy to chat with you and providing lots of local info. We would highly recommend Chaston Manor.

Beautiful room, very comfortable bed and lovely slipper bath. Extremely helpful host and very friendly. Good secure parking. Family friendly. Nicely quiet at night. Overall a great place to stay.

I would have preferred to have been able to help ourselves to tea/coffee and continental breakfast in the morning. Also needing to order our breakfast the night before wasn’t ideal for me as i never really know what I want until the morning. They did offer this option me when I gave them feedback but I felt like I might be putting them out of their way too much so just ordered the night before. Kids cooked breakfast was huge but looked very nice. Juice glasses need to be bigger please as you have to wait for the hosts to refill your small glass.

The staff where excellent in explaining everything, helpful when I needed something and good company in the morning when I was lone traveller. They offered good advice about the local area and I can't wait to go back, by that time they will have finished the improvements to the bar they are making (starting after I felt that day) as I could definitely relax at this hotel.
