Days Inn Stafford

We have stayed here previously, it is very good value for money and close to attractions we have booked. Staff are amazing.

Lovely welcome on this our first visit, beautifully presented entrance with hanging baskets and tubs. Our room was an exceptionally large family room in 2 separate areas. Very clean and with nice decor. I liked the fresh new nets and good heavy curtains at the windows. Our beds were very comfortable, and extra pillows were there if needed. A good-sized Samsung TV, wall mounted hairdryer near the large mirror, and the usual kettle station. The bathroom is very clean with plenty of space for toiletries. It had a bath and overhead shower, a heated towel rail that actually works, and nice fresh towels. We were very surprised at how quiet it was being situated at a Motorway Service Station and with a very handy Asda store to boot. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel 👍🏻

The room was larger than expected compared to similar rooms I have stayed in. I was very pleased with the standard of cleaning in the bedroom and the bathroom. The shower was excellent - a good volume of water at my chosen temperature rather than a dribble. There were no noticeable scuff marks. I was able to keep the window open all night and the traffic from the car park did not bother me. The receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. A really good place to stay!

I did try to cancel my booking around 11.40 am during my journey north - as I thought that I would be able to complete my round trip journey up to Manchester and back to the south coast without stopping overnight. However, the number I was calling to cancel (as per the instructions received when I booked the room the day before) did not ring through! When I mentioned this to the receptionist (upon arrival) she told me that reception would have been closed until 12 noon - so the number that had been provided on the instructions needed to be changed to the main office! I think she did that after I went to my room.

The staff were so lovely & welcoming, clean comfortable bed, shower pressure was amazing, blackout curtains,ideal location as base to explore from (I was going cbeebies land and monkey forest). Within the services, plenty of amenities in there and nicer than most services, lovely little pond, lots of flowers and birds singing. Didn't hear any noise from the truck stop at night. Kettle and hairdryer in room. Little heater in the room kept it nice and cosy, when I felt chilly I just stuck that on for a little bit. I actually slept better here than I do at home!!!

Could do with fresh carpet and walls at some point but honestly for the price I'm really not too bothered about that, and the bits that matter to me (bed, sink, toilet, kettle) were immaculate.

From arrival to check out, we enjoyed a very relaxing stay. Parking was easy. Receptionist was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and spacious with an extremely comfortable bed and extra pillows, which was a nice touch. Shower pressure was brilliant, towels were big and fluffy and there was plenty of shower gel. Black out curtains and very effective double glazing meant we got a perfect nights sleep, despite the proximity to the motorway. TV worked well, there was plenty of tea and coffee and you can now buy water and drinks from reception. Traveling with our dog, there was lots of green space round about for a little walk. For the price you couldn’t ask for more.

The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean, I asked for extra towels and an extra pillow which were supplied really quickly. The gentleman on reception was extremely helpful, I was travelling on my own with three young children and he offered to help, asked several times if we needed anything else extra and just generally was a really helpful and friendly member of staff. We didn’t arrive until almost 11pm and we were tired, so it was great to have such helpful staff. There was tea making facilities in the room which was good. The beds were big, mattresses very comfortable- pillows were also really comfy. Linen was all really fresh and clean. The shower was brilliant- very powerful, great temperature and shower gel supplied had a nice smell. This was a stop off for us travelling down to Gatwick airport, just to try and break the long journey up a bit. The hotel was quiet, the services was close but not immediately next to the hotel, and there was a nice grassy area surrounding the hotel with picnic benches. Really nice little hotel, perfectly met our requirements.

Honestly, there was only two things that niggled me - one was I asked for a wake up call and I didn’t get one - and the other was that the charge went through twice and I had a nightmare trying to sort this out with booking.com (this was nothing to do with days inn, in fact days inn were as helpful as they could be - the problem was with trying to get hold of someone at booking.com, and then the hoop jumping that I had to go through- was sorted in the end, but was irritating.)

Everything was satisfactory if a little tired. I understand the hotel will be refurbished next year and any problems will be sorted out then. The staff were all extremely happy, friendly and helpful.

The only problems we encountered were the noise from the motorway (lol) which with an open window was to be expected. The roof gutters outside our room overflowed noisily but there was a heavy thunderstorm so thgis would probably not normally occur.

We reserved two rooms for one night and both rooms were clean and tidy. The beds were comfy but the pillows were thin - they did however have extra pillows and sheets in the cupboard so we able to use an extra pillow. The TV was small but had quite a lot of channel options. Tea, coffee and hairdryer facilities available. The hairdryer is slightly outdated but did the job really well. The bathroom had complementary towels, soap and shampoo. The shower is stationary and not flexible, but is amazing especially after a long drive! And lastly, you can drop off the room key in a key-box without checking out.

Options for hot food is limited after 10 pm - although WHSmith offers a microwave, their refreshments are very pricey.

Very dated, tired room but very clean and great value for money. Bed was comfy, coffee making facilities available and a quiet room as requested. Parki g charge also included.Can't fault room or the lovely friendly staff, service with a smile. The food hall staff were equally friendly... Great customer service.. well done days one and stafford services.. you made an overnight stay as relaxing as possible. Thank you.

We wanted somewhere to just rest up for the night which is what we got. The staff were lovely and there was a McDonald's in the service station next door so got a good meal from there. The bathroom was clean and the room was a nice decent size.

The room was quite cold and the radiator took a very long time to heat the whole room up. The TV didn't work for the first 20 minutes we tried to use it. It kept saying it had no signal. We managed to sort it out in the end but it was a bit frustrating.
