Station Hotel is 1 minute from Stonehaven Railway Station, a mile walk downhill to town. There is a bus stop 30 seconds away, but buses are not frequent. The continental breakfast is all you would need, juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and croissants. You are also able to obtain a cooked breakfast with many choices, well cooked, well presented, tasty and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms quiet, even though it is a Hotel. The Staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly and there is a really good Chef. The restaurant food is excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you very much to all the Staff.

Another towel rail in the bathroom would be helpful.

We had moderated our expectations from a room above a bar in a town centre hotel in Scotland. However, the building has clearly been improved and decorated quite recently and was quite pleasant and well decorated. The room, being on second floor, was sufficiently far from any noise to avoid disturbing us. The room was clean , tidy and fresh. The bathrooms similarly so, with good showers, alleviating any concern about using shared facilities. Staff were really accommodating, helping us secure bikes on which we'd arrived, even though they were clearly exceptionally busy with a large amount of dining customers when we arrived. Equally helpful on the morning of departure too. Unfortunately the bars were so busy we weren't able to wait for a table for food - though largely because we were so hungry we didn't want to wait. From the volume of locals dining, we can only assume the foods good too though.

The room was a wee bit on the small side, though to be fair, it was advertised as small, so not too unsurprising!

The staff was amazing, the room was great and clean. I booked a family room to stay with my parents for one night as it looked very nice in the pictures and the price seemed very good. It did not disappoint. We had dinner at the hotel and had my family tried haggis and black pudding for the first time and they loved it. I absolutely recommend the place, everyone was so nice and welcoming. It is amazing value for money. I wish I could stay longer.

I don't think there is anything I didn't like.

Everything was such good quality, the contemporary decor, the spotless shower rooms (shared facilities, but I never had to queue), the bedding (felt like feather duvet), and particularly the gorgeous breakfasts (my vegetarian one had French toast, fried potatoes and veggie haggis as well as everything else you might expect). We appreciated being able to use the breakfast room to dine in, in the evening, as an additional quiet space away from the bar.

I liked that it was right next to the train station so it was vrry handy if heading to other places. Also, the hotel staff were very friendly & always on hand. The breakfast was lovely & very well presented. I would happily stay at The Station Hotel again.

The only thing i didn't like were the other guests that banged their doors when going to the communal toilet through night. I always turned the door handle as not to make a noise.

A very pleasant hotel well located for the station. Everything was very clean and tidy. the restaurant served a very nice meal of fishcakes and has a nice little bar. I had to leave very early the next day and the staff were so helpful and kind they allowed me to have breakfast before the allotted time and on request made me a flask of tea !

We informed at the time of booking about possible late arrival - after midnight. We called ahead at 10 pm to let the hotel know that we were arriving at quarter to one. The owner where not very happy and suggested that we paid an extra amount of 10 pounds each? We refused - however we were met by lovely staff at the hotel.

Breakfast was fast and really tasty. Room spotless and clean. Meals were delicious. Parking can be really difficult at certain times. There is a carp ark opposite at railway station, again can be full. Stairs could be difficult for elderly or disabled as the shower in room was a high step in and out. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Staff were friendly too

Breakfast was perfect with a varied choice on the menu. The location was perfect because we were playing golf at different locations but close to Stonehaven. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly, with a smile.

Nothing, everything met our expectations. There was plenty parking space and the manager made room too store our golf clubs.

This is a lovely family run hotel. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely. The food was excellent. The breakfast was one of the best Hotel breakfasts I’ve ever eaten . I did try to book for NewYear before we left . And was not surprised to find out they were fully booked. Would definitely recommend this hotel. We took a trip on the train for the day and it was just a stone’s throw from the hotel . We had a brilliant weekend
