Friendly, flexible staff who enabled us to check in although navigating around a wedding timetable. Delicious food. Very comfortable and clean room with modern facilities like charger ports, a wireless phone charger and bathroom mirror with Bluetooth! Despite being near a busy road, the windows did a really good job of sound-proofing from outdoor noise. Fan provided, which effectively kept the room cool.

Ongoing building work (directly beneath our room) was very noisy and although it considerately commenced after we were downstairs for breakfast at 9am, checkout wasn’t til 11am so we couldn’t really relax in our room after breakfast and checked out earlier than we may have done otherwise. The room was lovely so it would’ve been nice to have spent more time in it. However, the ‘bed and breakfast’ part was wonderful so a minor quibble re: making the most of one’s stay.

I did not have breakfast as I was visiting family locally. But the room, in the eves , was roomy and clean. Modern. Huge bed , lovely shower room. Friendly host.i would stay there again and I have told family about it.

There are steep stairs to the rooms. Ok for me but some people might find it difficult. The extractor fan in the bath room runs for ages. And mean, ages. As there was a lovely velux window in my bathroom I thought it did not need to run for longer than 10 minutes after you left the bathroom.

My room and the ensuite bathroom were fresh, modern, and very comfortable indeed. Sadly, for personal reasons, I had to rush back to London, but I knew that I would have slept comfortably and there was an option for breakfast which I hadn’t booked which was great value.

Nothing comes to mind – adequate parking outside, and whilst slightly off the beaten track, perfectly located for the wedding reception I was attending.

Absolutely lovely hosts, so friendly and rooms were so lovely, clean and tidy and really spacious! Breakfast amazing and so much of it :0) Very very happy overall - would 100% recommend!!! Can imagine even better when the renovations finished!

A little thing from my fellow guests - cat and dog not to be allowed into the dining room when people in there.

The owner, incredible lady, I know of no owner that I have come across in my travels that can surpass this lady. I need say no more

Food, house, all the facilities that were on hand, nothing was left out or unavailable, incredible and the fact the owner was recovering from a surgical procedure did not diminish her ability to satisfy everyone.

The rooms were recently completed and to a high quality. The host, Lesley, is very friendly and understanding if her guests needs. The full English breakfast was large and we'll cooked. Fruit, cereal, yoghurt and fruit drinks are also available. It was good to know that it's pet friendly as well, which I didn't use this time but I will make use of in the future. Lesley has a big friendly Alsatian and a cat of her own. This is a small (5) room accommodation but it was a pleasure to stay here for you the weekend.

I could not find a fault.

Very attentive service and warm welcome. Room was reasonably priced, very clean, and well appointed with an excellent shower. Breakfast was great quality and good range of options, and delivered spot on time.

Only very minor points. The hospitality tray could have benefitted from a few sachets of decaff and the fan in the bathroom ran on for a long time (at least half an hour) after the light was off - I ended up switching it off at the isolator to be able to get to sleep.

Ample parking. Modern rooms with everything you need. Spotlessly clean. Generous, perfectly cooked breakfast. Lesley the owner is lovely and makes you feel very welcome in her home, nothing is too much trouble.

Nothing really and this did not bother us but it is on a busy road, the house is set back a bit and although noisy in the daytime it was quiet at night and there we had no problem sleeping.

We arrived late, as we were working at Carfest South over the weekend. Our hosts Lesley, Dan (and Ted!) we’re extremely helpful and efficient at getting us settled. The room was light, stylish, contemporary and very comfortable, with fresh white bedding and a large comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was immaculate, with a large shower and pristine towels. Breakfast was excellent too, with a large full English, a choice of cereals, yogurts and juices on offer if you’re still hungry. Lesley is a warm, friendly and fabulous host and we highly recommend this little gem of a place!

I can’t think of anything that was missing

Apple Tree Place was very easy to find and there was ample parking. The rooms were a good size, very clean and tidy and really high spec in the bathroom, fabulous shower. Lesley was super friendly and helpful (and Ted the dog too), she helped us find a lovely local pub, that was close to a great place to walk our dogs before we had a scrumptious evening meal. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and plenty of it (more if we had wanted).

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like, we had a lovely relaxing stay. We wish we could have stayed more than one night there.
