Everything. Loved the decoration in the pub and room. The room was really comfortable and had everything you could need. There's plenty of parking which made it very convenient. One thing I really liked was that there are quite a few doors between different rooms of the hotel so the sound does not travel. This was perfect as I didn't hear anything, it was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. Breakfast was fantastic with a good choice on offer. Overall, I felt everything was kept to a high standard and would highly recommend. Hoping I need to revisit the area just so I can stay again!

The food was not good best to eat out. had a starter of terrine very bland bread that appeared to have been fried looked greasy and was too hard to eat tried to cut it with a knife but to hard gave up on that course. my wife had sirloin steak checked they could cook well done this was uneatable when served very stringe and could not chew her way through it, we took it home completely for the dog. Breakfast was very good in ingredients but was served cold as we were the only people in there to begin with we thought they could cook it fresh it tasted like it had been cooked 10 minutes ago and left standing

The room was bigger than anticipated, liked the desk/table arrangement, Nice large bed and the room was tastefully decorated. Large wall mounted tv and, nice touch, a wall mounted electric heater you can programme to your liking. Only stayed one night but would be very happy to stay longer if visiting the area again. The breakfast, taken in the bar restaurant was first class as was the waitress service provided by Debara, aka, Debbie, Buffet style help yourself to cereals, tea or coffee and the facility to toast you bread to your liking before a choice of cooked breakfasts. The whole of the building was very well presented, a nice mix of modern and rustic. Must mention this small detail, the ensuite shower pipework was leaking slightly. I mentioned this to Debbie during breakfast, we returned to our room to pack before leaving and a few minutes later there was a knock on the door and Richard the maintenance chap arrived to repair the leak, how's that for service!

The Hotel is set back from the road and has a large carpark. The room I had was set in the external building but was very good. First impression it was like a brand new room, very high spec in terms of decor and felt very relaxing. Facilities were all excellent. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was hot with plenty of pressure. The bed was large and very comfortable and the room heating was easily adjustable. I had a lovely stay. There was even a welcome note from the owners which was a lovely touch. I did not use the bar and only ate breakfast which was lovely.

I cannot think of anything that needs improving after my visit, a very enjoyable experience.

We've stayed here a few times and this time was the best! They've refurbished the whole place and it's now brighter and more welcoming. The room was spacious, very clean and very quiet. The bed was very wide and very comfortable. The free WiFi was very good. The television was a good size and was in a great location opposite the bed, and the controller worked perfectly. We ate in the pub on one evening and it was fine.

It took me until the second day to work out how to use the heater (there's a power switch low down on the wall and it's completely not obvious that it switches on the heater).

Lovely property nice and clean. Wonderful decor and facilities in the bedrooms. Bathrooms were wonderfully done. We had a king bed which was very spacious. Iron and ironing board along with hairdryer provided. Tv modern however reception for all channels was limited. Wardrobe space was adequate for a long weekend but if you were staying longer then you would need more hangers than provided.

The food in the restaurant was awful. The presentation was good however I ordered a Sunday lunch and my pork, beef and Turkey were all textured like rubber. Impossible to cut through. There were four of us on our table and we all had to send it back. I asked whether everything was microwaved and was given the reasoning as the fact they only had one staff member in the kitchen because of staff shortages. The staff were very apologetic and we sympathised with them since the staff were friendly and as helpful as can be. The following morning we though we would have breakfast and came down at 9:10am only to be told breakfast was over by 9:00am. Needless to say we went to a nearby country pub where the food was excellent.

the revamped rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. I stayed in the annexe this time, huge improvement on previous stays. I would definitely stay again but i definitely wouldn’t eat there

breakfast was a let down sadly, i ate breakfast only once in a 5 day stay. on previous stays we always looked forward to the breakfast as it was freshly cooked and good quality ingredients. This time is was part precooked preheated food that was not pleasant and the frozen thawed avocado is just vile. coffee at breakfast is also tasteless and pointless. I didn’t bother eating at the restaurant in the evening if the breakfast was an indication of things to come.

I loved the location - close enough to 2 towns but far enough away in beautiful countryside even while on an A road. It was a very convenient stop for a couple of nights. The rooms, outside sitting arrangements and pub restaurant were wonderful. The staff were a pleasure and all friendly & helpful! Fantastic breakfasts on both days…. a real proper English breakfast with lots of choice for cereals, fruit & yogurt, pastries & toasts!

The toilet in our bathroom was too near to the wall, which would be awkward for a larger person… but that isn’t really too bad. The shower was wonderful!!

Very clean and felt newly decorated. Very pretty decor and great sized rooms. Off street parking.

We were in possibly the furthest room from the entrance and with doors everywhere meant we had to get our luggage through 6 different doors to get to our room, and even just coming and going meant lots of walking and pushing doors. Also, we booked two rooms as we had our two teenage kids with us but they had our rooms at opposite ends of the hall, I was disappointed they didn’t put our rooms next to each other. No guest laundry. We’d travelled Europe for a month so had lots of luggage. Perhaps suits the overnight stay/weekend traveller better. Downstairs pub is more of a restaurant so may need to make sure you book a table rather than just walk down from your room and find a spot.

We stayed at the Berkshire Arms for one night because it's very convenient if you are attending a gig at The Mount on the Wasing Estate. Just a 10 minute drive. The hotel is amazing. Looks as though it's had a recent makeover and is very tastefully decorated with soft colours and interesting wallpapers. Our room was incredibly well appointed, with a walk shower with rainfall and spray options. Up to date large TV, nice selection of tea and coffee and lovely bedding. The room was spotlessly clean. We had breakfast in the pub next door; the veggie option which was very nice too. Highly recommended.
