The Inn at Woodhall Spa

The booking in was smooth , room was ok and clean , tea etc etc making facilitys all ok. Would prefer a wider bed but it was comfy . windows that you could open and a good blind . Restaurant was good food was good , plates could be hotter at serving but all generally ok . Staff very attentive behind bar and in restaurant at breakfast and evening meal .

The green safety light in the ceiling , it was very bright which left the room in a "dusk " brightness all night , this was the only fault but a major one ................IT IS VERY BRIGHT ALL NIGHT !!

Interesting old building full of character. Large bedroom and bathroom. Toiletries and tea and coffee tray. My elderly brother had a room equipped for a disabled person with a large accessible shower which was ideal for him. This was in answer to my request at the time of booking.The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lift. We stayed in this hotel many years ago and should we return to Woodhall Spa,we would stay there again.

not exactly a dislike but wi-fi didn’t work in our room. it just wasn’t picking up the guest Wi-Fi . This was disappointing as I do an online language course and I also couldn’t access my books. it was warm over night and I opened the windows but the traffic started about 5 am and was rather noisy.

The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Room booked was a Superior Double. Breakfast was excellent, plated and cooked to order as there were only a few guests staying. Reception and Bar staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Limited choice of menu and serving times due to kitchen staff issues that particular evening. No space in the car park when we arrived so had to park on a nearby street and move the car later - maybe an idea to allow guests to reserve a space if they are staying overnight.

Great location, friendly staff and super comfy bed. It had everything we needed with an added bonus of a bath. When we was checking out the lady on reception was dealing with shall we say a difficult customer, and she kept proffesional a lot longer than I would of done, so we'll done to her.

Room was a little dated and was right above the extraction fan for the kitchen, but as the bed was sooo comfy we still slept good. Lighting and a plug near a mirror would of been helpful but i did manage. Breakfast is a hard one to judge as all the food was a high quality however even though we got up early the hot food was not hot just warm. On the approach to the room there are 2 chairs and a table, get rid of them they look awful and make the place look a mess.

Large, comfy room. friendly staff. breakfast and evening meal. Excellent location.

We had booked a superior double bedded room but did not realise that this was located on the top floor, requiring climbing two set of stairs and several corridors which, at our age and lugging a case, was a bit of a challenge. Whilst eventually subsiding there was some noise from the beer garden below our room during the evening; the room would benefit from double glazing or secondary windows.

Convenient location. Comfortable room. Huge bathroom. Ample parking. Good choice of menu, food was nicely presented. Woodhall Spa has a good selection of independent shops. Plenty of information boards explaining the town's history and links with the Dambusters raid. And if you fancy a change from dining in the hotel there are varied restaurants to tempt your taste buds.

No grab rails in the bathroom. Breakfast selection good, but hot food left under heaters for too long and thus rendered inedible.

The location was great for the wedding we were there to attend. There are a lot of options for dining and we spent some time in the connected sports bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. The town itself is lovely. There is a wonderful bookstore across the street and a fabulous bakery just down the road. Overall a very good weekend spent here.

The rooms were very hot and the windows were small and didn't open very far so there was very little airflow. The building is old and the water temp shifted frequently while showering. I personally found the beds to be too firm.

Staff were very friendly, and the Inn was clean and had a welcoming feel. Room was spacious, clean, and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best I've had on my stays. Very well done!

Family room was large, and could do with furniture that made the most of the space; larger desk, rug, side units and ornaments / plants etc Radiator in bathroom is too hot. Almost unsafe as it scalds when touched. I meant to mention it as I left but it slipped my mind after breakfast!

Room was a good size and bed was lovely. All staff were friendly especially the night porter. . Easy parking and good central position.

Skirting around the bath was rotting due to the shower screen leaking. We were told the lounge was a good place to be in an evening but we found it loud and rowdy! Breakfast was a little hit n miss , bacon was a little over done and fried eggs hard .

bedroom was very reasonable with good bathroom and bath.

The only thing was the breakfast. Whilst there was a good choice it was all cooked on big batches and stored in big le creuset pans where food slowly goes stale. If they are going for self service then they need to have smaller pans that are replenished more frequently in smaller batches of fresh food. The toast was not crispy. Service was excellent though.
