Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown

I did not like the location of the hotel, the area was very busy!

I didn’t like that the property didn’t have parking for your stay. Valet wrecked my car and didn’t inform me until I picked up my car on the last day of my stay and I drove maybe 1 mile and that’s when I realized my car had been wrecked

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was close to the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, AL. Valet parking was convenient also. The front desk was very helpful informative about the area. This was our second time to stay here when attending a concert. We will stay again in the future.

No problems with my accommodations. My stay was very nice.

The staff was very accommodating to our needs since our reservations were given away where we were previously booked to stay at the other Fairfield Inn in Birmingham and we were relocated.

We had to relocate to another hotel because our reservations were given away before check-in time.

Breakfast bar was great! We didn't eat the food due to us going out for local eats, but the selection was wonderful and very open and spacious! Plenty of options for hot/cold breakfast.

Literally nothing. Every experience from the moment we were met by the valet at the curb to the moment we checked out and everything in between was wonderful! 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

The location was great! We had concert tickets for the Alabama Theater and we were able to walk there in less than five minutes. Several good food options within walking distance.

Even though we were on the third floor, there was significant traffic noise from the street below. We heard what appeared to be cars racing into the early hours of the morning.

It was downtown and close to the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.

Loud car racing down the street all night. It was a very nosy location.

Location was great. Staff was very kind.

Parking across the street for $30 was not acceptable. I realize I could have gotten a valet, but it was also $30. I took my car to meet some friends 1 time and then had to pay again! So, for a two night stay, I paid $60 to park across the street in a parking deck. There has to be a better solution.

The hotel was in great physical shape with updated decor, remodeled rooms and bathrooms. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This isn't an issue with the hotel but the sales tax at 10% and city room taxes added a good bit to the very reasonable room price so just be aware of it. Parking was extra as an FYI.

The stay was a good value

Vale parking needs improving. The attendant was nice but more focus needs to be put on managing the vale lot. There were too many loiters jamming up the lot with their personal conversations and vehicles.
