Holiday Inn Mobile Downtown Historic District, an IHG Hotel

The pool was nice and the rooms were great. The grandkids loved the bathtub. Both of them could fit at the same time. I loved that the staff worked hard to get us an adjoining room, when she did not have to do that. It was nice to have the grandkids close to us though. They got to run from room to room. Which was convenient especially since we were trying to get ready for a graduation.

That they did not have a breakfast. We had to leave and go down the block to Hardee’s. Also, someone tried to steal my husband battery out of the back of his truck until they realized it wasn’t any good.

The hotel was very spacious and had more amenities than we are normally used to. It was quiet where our room was. The view from the lounge was absolutely stunning. The restaurant on-site was also an added bonus.

Our room was not ready at check-in but we adjusted. The main entrances were locked even during the day which made it inconvenient for us checking in. The room was clean but smelled strongly of men’s cologne.

A great hotel to stay at for events at the Mobile Civic Center [0.2 mile] & strolling Dauphin Street [0.2 mile]! The hotel was open, clean, & the staff were kind! We especially enjoyed having a restaurant & lounge within the hotel!

The only disappointment was the pool was closed - which is necessary if it need be. If visiting, on-site [free] parking is limited - but there is a reasonably priced parking garage right across the street.

I loved the friendly people. They made sure that you was okay. My view was very beautiful, and was very clean.

I didn’t like being locked out of my room. At first I noticed that it was very hard to get into my room. Then me and my daughter had went down stairs to get something to eat. We got back to the room and couldn’t get back in, we went back down to let them know, and they couldn’t open the door either. So they said to me we can get you another room, and I was like all my stuff is in there and my daughter stuff and we are getting on a cruise so I need all of my stuff. So they finally got the door open, and we couldn’t leave the room for the rest of the night or we get locked out. So yes I kinda felt like a prisoner. They did offer me my money back, but it got to go through booking.com so I’m still waiting on my money.

They told me I had to pay extra for breakfast which was disappointing because it said it was included in the price but the location was perfect because we were there for Mardi Gras and the parades go right by

The fact we didn't have breakfast even though I paid for it, they originally booked me the wrong room and the front desk manager was very rude

I paid more for my room than both of my friends who also booked there and then they got free coupons for the breakfast and i was told that mine would be 14 dollars and that I didn’t get the “special” rate that they got. That made me mad frankly since I paid more for my room too

I didn’t like that all my friends got a better rate and free meal coupons. I DID appreciate the view from my room vs theirs

it was nicely located for my trip

parts are under construction. my room- 1409, the hot and cold water on the sink are reversed. my room was nicely decorated, large, and clean. twice I noticed a sewer gas smell in the room that didn’t come from me. there were some loud after hours activities going on in the parking garage across the street well after midnight that kept me up as well. that was not the fault of the hotel though.

Great customer was glad to check in early bed was comfortable and room clean close to banks museums Mardi gras history food places and close to Africa town heritage house museum clotilde and boat ride to clotilde last slave ship

Had to pay for breakfast buffet $15 should have provided complimentary

The room view was AMAZING!

The communication about where to park, we thought the garage across from the hotel was actually part of the hotel. In the past the garage fee would be added at checkout. This is not the case. The garage is totally separate and we had to pay a larger fine to get a boot off of our car.

The hotel staff was nice.

We were traveling and had intended to eat dinner and have cocktails at the top floor lounge that overlooked Town.There was another family up there sitting at the bar with their child. When we walked in, we were told we had to leave because children were not allowed (except for the one sitting at the bar). We ended up finding a nice local restaurant to eat at, but the lounge experience left us with a very sour experience. If the lounge was full of hungry women looking for desperatebusinessmen, we would have had less an issue, but it had another family sitting at the bar with their child.
