Embassy Suites Anchorage

It's Embassy Suites so what is there not to like? The unit is practically a one bedroom apartment. It has a washer and dryer. it has a small fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. It even has a desk if you need to work. The bed is extremely comfortable. It's in a quiet neighborhood and the staff is friendly and helpful. It has an on-site bar and restaurant. A nice breakfast spread is served and you can order an omelette to your liking. It's so comfortable that sometimes I don't want to leave the hotel. Moose's Tooth Pizzeria is around the corner so you are not far for a good pizza.

It's not in Downtown but in Midtown. The upside is that you don't have to pay Downtown prices.

room size and furniture set-up

We had a room for two people and a room for four people, we stayed at the hotel two different times a week apart, both times they did not set up the room for four people properly, it should’ve had twice as much towels, pillows, chocolate mints, etc…. since there were four people instead of two, I complained multiple times, you need to change this so when people check in you guys automatically deliver more things to the room when there are more people, It is your job to make this happen not the people staying, this is a management problem and bad for the company and your reputation. Make a change to the check in practice when more than two people check-in and it needs to change at all embassy suites everywhere. if you want to be seen as a premier hotel you have to do better.

To summarize: 1. Enjoyed the complimentary happy hour. 2. The property was good, in general Anchorage isn't known for having grandiose lodging so be sure to reset / reassess your expectations 3. The location was just ok 4. Most of the staff were friendly 5. Had to request room service wasn't too thrilled about that (I miss the times where this was the standard) Overall, good property and value for the money, I would definitely consider staying here again if traveling to Anchorage again

Lovely pre dinner drinks (two each) and nibbles were provided and our meal at the restaurant was fantastic! Breakfast was great as well. Close to a supermarket. Nice spacious rooms. Able to leave our bags in storage on early arrival and late checkout.

Rooms are a bit dark but nothing major, a little bit out of the main town but a nice little area all the same

The breakfast is great! and staff was really friendly and helpful when we needed them. Complimentary drinks at the bar was a huge perk. the rooms have separate room and living room which is great for kids.

The hot tub was not working and the pool isn’t heated which is a bummer for Alaska. they said they are waiting for a part to fix the hot tub but I looked at reviews from a few months ago and they were told the same thing.. so that was disappointing wish we would of known before making our reservation because our trip was based around enjoying the pool and hot tub(we’re locals)

The breakfast was the best thing about this hotel followed by the room size. Greatest hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Location was also great because it was central to everything that we ended up doing. On-site amenities are superb.

There wasn’t anything I truly did not like. Suggestions would be posting times of breakfast and restaurant hours that are visible. I also was not aware of the second entrance/exit of the hotel until a few days into my stay. Made it alot easier at times.

The beds were super comfy as were the pillows. I do prefer walk in showers, but their tubs make it great for littles and this is more of a family oriented place. Our room was kind of far, but we were closer to the stairs so we just took them when we would leave. Their breakfast was incredible and made the price worth the stay. It would be even better for when my family needs an overnight trip because despite the price of the hotel, we still usually eat breakfast somewhere, and ihop would be a good 80 with all of us. Worth it!

How far away the room was.

Breakfast was awesome - such a large selection (really good french toast), plenty of seating. So delicious! The rooms were spacious and felt homey.

I know it's due to COVID, but hard to not have our room serviced (towels replaced) at all. The printer did not work when trying to print our boarding passes. The manager arranged for a taxi to pick us up to take us to the airport, saying twice that the hotel would cover the bill. Got to the airport and the driver required payment from us (though, he might have been scamming us, who knows).

It was clean, it smelled good, the facilities were fully opened. The beds were comfy, i was able to ipen my window to let fresh air in. There eere more thsn enough complimentary amenities, the breakfast buffet is always great!

The couch felt a little "lived in" probably could use a little cleaning. They could extend breakfast by an hour, 9a is too early to close it.

The room came with good perks that I would've had to pay for at different places.

There wasn't a TV guide in the room. Had a microwave but no plates or cuttlery. Only one trash can for a 2 room suite. And the pool was closed for maintenance on a weekend.
