My Place Hotel-Anchorage, AK

All accommodation in Anchorage is overpriced if you ask me, but this hotel is very good and nice if we are comparing it with other hotels and prices. Staff on reception was not too friendly or helpful, but other than that, everything was great. Very clean. Free parking. Free shuttle to airport. Room was huge, quiet, clean, with little kitchen, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, little stove. Bathroom clean and nice. It had everything that you might need and more, for short or long stays. Like little appartment. I would recommend it.

The staff gave us extra time to check out, which was well needed because of coolers and extra baggage.

I didn't like that our clothes got stolen out of the dryer. Obviously you have to have a room here because the laundry door locks and your room key opens it. Just can't believe someone staying here would go so low as to taking someone's laundry that needed washed so we could leave in clean clothes.. Cameras in the corner but no one seen anything.. Hmmmm!!

The parking was adequate, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and in good condition, there wasn't wires running along the trim or past paint damage that hadn't been repaired. I was impressed with the features that came with the room and if anyone needs a hotel in Anchorage I would recommend this one. I will keep an eye out for My Place hotels in the future.

This was the only hotel I have stayed in that didn't have a Bible in the room.

Good location with plenty of bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Rooms are large and spotless clean, and very comfortable The free airport bus was a great extra! We were also able to check in early which was a huge bonus for us as we had all our luggage with us

We didn't get much information from the guy on reception. Nothing mentioned about breakfast or the booking the airport bus.

Good value for money. Pizza bar nearby was great!

Staff took a long time to respond at Reception; once we waited as desk wasn’t manned & phone wasn’t answered & the other, the staff member took a phone call from his boss while we were trying to check out and we had to wait quite a while for him to finish. No equipment in kitchen & no washing powder available to buy for laundry.

Very clean, nice amenities and comfy beds.

Said they had an airport shuttle but when we arrived, they said it was out of service.

Staff were amazing. Guest laundry area was clean. Free airport shuttle. Full-size frig and stove.

It would have been nice to have some utensils/plates/cups in the kitchen area. It was a bit "out" from downtown Anchorage, but only a $15 Lyft ride. Definitely worth the cheaper stay when compared with downtown hotels.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. It was great to have laundry facilities. It was walking distance from a great restaurant, bakery and small convenience store.

Bedside table only on one side of bed. It is not close to the downtown. The beds were very squeaky.

Very friendly male employee at the desk checking us in. He had some good restaurant recommendations for us. Very comfortable beds. Huge room, even has a small kitchen! Only a 10 minute drive to the harbour and Tony Knowles Trail.

There was no bedsidetable on one side of the bed, which is a bit inconvenient. But that is really the only thing.

Rooms were pretty nice. I liked the kitchenette. Refrigerator was huge, not a mini, but an actual normal sized refrigerator. There was a computer with internet access and had a printer in the lobby that guests were allowed to use. They sold some good snacks and certain travel items. Laundry room that hotel guests are allowed to use. Not too far from stores and places to eat out.

Some of the staff seemed lazy. One was sort of rude, and I was not the only guest who thought so. There was always this one guy, I assumed he was homeless, that always came around the hotel and begged for cigarettes or pocket change. Made me wonder if they dont even care that he is just pondering around the hotel.
