Qupqugiaq Inn

Location wise. It's accessible anywhere in downtown. Our tour van picked up and dropped us in this Hotel wc is very convenient. They have a parking lot at the back of the hotel where we safely parked our rented car. Our room has no AC, but we went to Anchorage 2nd week of May, and the weather was still cold enough that no AC wasn't a problem at all. Please ask the facility if they can provide rooms with AC or fans, The personnel/s are very accommodating. Beds, linens, and towels were okay and clean water with hot/cold shower. What more could you ask if you're on a budget trip!! Thumbs up.

Very cheap compared to virtually all other hotels in Anchorage. However, don't let the low price fool you. This isn't some sleazy, dive hotel. The place is very clean. The towels are very soft. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Linen is very fresh. The staff is amazing. The common kitchen area is well equipped with access to fridge. The free coffee and tea is well stocked and maintained. Location is close to Walmart and 3 restaurants are across the street within walking distance. Wifi is good. Hotel is very secure and supervised.

At this price point. Can't expect it to get better. Already exceeded expectations

It was a beautiful place that had an old timey feel in a good way, it felt like I was in backcountry Alaska when I was in my room and not in the city. and the price was great. And I locked myself out of my room at like 7 in the morning and they were super cool about it. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Anchorage especially if they don't want a normal hotel type thing.

Please offer non white towels so I can wipe the floors without feeling bad for ruining the white towels lol I tracked so much snow into the room and I felt terrible for that too so it was a no win.

The staff was very friendly but young man he was always in there cleaning the bathroom the hotel is clean and my first night I was even accommodated I thought it was wonderful everything was clean the floors were clean it's exactly where I needed to go it's right in the middle of everything so this will be my go to hotel

I can't really think of anything that I did not like everybody was friendly you feel like you're home when you check into the hotel so I have no complaints

My room was small but arranged well. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding clean and warm. The furniture was functional and my week stay was comfortable. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Staff cleaned and restocked them at least 3 times a day.

I have no complaints. Qupaugiaq Inn is exactly what it states it is: a place for short stay travelers and folks coming in from rural Alaska. My only problem was pronouncing the name. BUT taxi drivers, Uber and Lyft drivers knew exactly where I stayed.

Everything was better than I expected. The photos do not do justice to the place (get a better photographer :)) - yes, it is quirky but other than that - all good. Not your honeymoon suit but good enough for a good night sleep at decent price. Room was waiting for me (with lights up), there were candies and cookies and bottled water in the room. What else can a tired traveler want?

It's still a bit quirky and I guess is still looking for its place.

I’m a tough person to please when it comes to hotels, but considering how expensive things are getting and how expensive hotels are in anchorage this place is a winner. The place was clean and it has its own style. not bad at all. it was clean with clean towels and soap. it was perfect around this time of year (July)… did not have ac but they have a lot of fans and ac is not needed at all. the staff are great.

The bed was super cozy I loved it. I love the shower I cannot say enough about any of their showers they're great. The staff is awesome as always everything is clean, they're always walking the parking lot never had any problems staying there at all thanks a bunch I will see you again soon the only place I stay when I'm in Anchorage

It was quaint and perfect and no. Of the frills and nonsense. Perfect for those that just want a decent place to sleep without paying an arm and a leg

I wish it was slightly closer to downtown. It's not far, maybe 2.7 miles. I walked some and took a cab some. Just depends how comfortable you are.

We booked this hotel and visited Seward for a cruise, the Alaska Wild Life Conservation Center, Byron Glaciers, and other places with our rental car. The place is well located, and driving to those places is reasonable close for day trips. The hotel was comfy and close to many restaurants for breakfast or dinner. They have a kitchen where you can cook your own food too if you want.
