Red Roof Inn PLUS + Phoenix West

The room my Mom had was very spacious, clean and quiet! The entire staff was very professional, knowledgeable and guest oriented. Check in was a breeze, extended her stay 2 weeks was seamless and easy(she got much better price when I booked in house instead of online). Those housekeeping and maintenance personnel are A+++++awesome!! Kudos to the training manager who obviously knows what they are doing...the staff is the major reason I am going to book her another 2-3 weeks until her place is ready to move in.

The location and the outside elements really hinder the charm and personality to be experienced once inside. Lots of homeless campers that just trash the surrounding outdoors area.

Clean no bug or flies and smoke free so no allergies or asthma problems rooms are good sized there are options to pay extra for microwave and fridge but went with the basic unit for this trip. Beds were spacious for 1 person would be tighter fit if you have 2 in a bed but doable. Luckily we didn't encounter that issue. Key cards are RFID chips instead of magnetic strips which is good because they don't become de-magnetized when they get too close to your phone speakers like other hotels cards do. There is a grocery store and dollar tree gas station and laundry room all within a block away including several fast food options. Didn't experience any problems with our stay.

Actually, the place was very nice; about average for a three (3) star property. Also, I liked the Panasonic TV because, I have one at home, which is much older. Overall, I was impressed with the place, and would definitely stay again; I do plan to return (by the way).

Basically, there was some confusion surrounding a change that I made to the original) reservation that I made back in August, 2022, because I paid an additional $73 for a Superior King Room (instead of the Standard Room) that is pictured. However, the matter was never resolved, and I was told that you all would lodge a complaint against the property because (apparently) you all could not reach the correct parties to rectify the problem. Therefore, going forward I will only book with hotels (directly) to make or change reservations, and talking to you all’s Customer Service Teams did not help much because, they could not understand. They kept thinking that I was staying in the (upgraded) King Room, when I was not.

The size of the room & bathroom.

One of the beds was very uncomfortable. We asked for housekeeping on the 3rd day. We were told something had to be imputed in the pc by 7am. How would we know that? I had take all the sheets & towels to floor one lobby & get new sets make one of the beds myself. Along with replemishing toiletries & I emptied our own trash. Housekeeping was on our floor #2 down the hallway..so why couldn't they stop by for a quick cleaning? We had a 4 day stay & no housekeeping and no tip for anyone.

We had a suite, and it was very comfortable. Everything functioned well. We liked that there were so many places to plug in devices. The bed pillows were marked "soft", and "firm", which was kind of "neat"! We liked that the hotel is "smoke free", but the parking lot was clean, as a spot was designated for smokers. That isn't always true these days.

We arrived at 3:30 P.M., and couldn't check in. We were exhausted. We are older, and had traveled from Las Cruces, New Mexico that day, and our room wasn't ready. We got it around 4:30, but every minute was excruciating. The area the hotel is in is terrible, to the point of being frightening. There were homeless people sleeping on benches outside, and an encampment right outside the parking lot. They do try to provide security.

Nice clean room but very sketchy area. Some very unsavory characters around all times of the night and morning but the hotel does have onsite security and they patrol the grounds. Room was a decent size.

They charge a $75 security deposit and has to be major bank debit or credit card. No prepaid, no cash and no cashpp. Booking.com had nothing in the fine print about that and i had to borrow the extra just to get a room. My kids and i spent an hour in the lobby trying to figure that out.

We requested a late check in and we received the room we requested (single King). That doesn't sound remarkable but in my experience a reservation is more of a suggestion, so I was pleasantly surprised. The bedding was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had ample towels.

I'm a little skeptical of the floor cleaning. I did find three acrylic nails (which looked to be from the same set) on the floor in the bathroom and near the TV.

The staff was helpful. The property was clean. The room was nice and quiet. The bed was soooo comfortable! I was able to have my dog with me. The security guard was actively walking around checking on things, I felt safe

The surrounding area, when I went to take my dog out at night, looked a little sketchy, but that's not the hotel's fault. The parking lot felt really safe, so we stayed within there.

It has security. The rooms are nice & comfortable.

When we arrived, the clerk was apologizing to a customer for giving them the wrong room. She then booked us in, gave us our card key, sent us to the 3rd floor & the room was a mess. We didn’t know if it was being occupied or if it just hadn’t been cleaned. We arrived a little after 7pm, we were coming from a horrible experience of a near by HomeTowne Inn. We were than apologized to from the clerk & she than gave us another room. The property itself could you some inside maintaining (walls, hallway carpet, elevator). The clerks should be more cautious when handing out card keys.

The gentleman that I checked in with was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely helpful; not only to me but to everyone who entered the lobby. He always had a wonderful smile to everyone and helped in every way that he could. He is truly an asset to your company.

The furniture (sofa) in the room is in need of repair or replacement but that is all.
