Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown

We booked for the Madonna Concert that was cancelled. The room/hotel would have been the perfect location had the concert gone forward. Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurant a plus.

The room does not have much space. Two foot walk ways around bed and couch. Lucky it was just me and my spouse. You can not fit more than two people in the room. We were charged a premium no refundable for the room of $252 for the night, but when we checked the night we were there it was only $129 because the concert didn’t go. Booking.com does not homer price match.

I originally booked through a third party. I attempted to change my dates by one day (not the number of nights) and was told the property would confirm with me. I received no communication and when I attempted several times to call the customer service line to confirm the change, the voice box was full. My reservation was cancelled (without any notification) and I had to pay for a "no show" reservation.

The staff are friendly and have great customer service. They upgraded our room free of charge. The rooms are very clean and the bed was comfortable compared to other places we've stayed. We enjoyed the Netflix service and being able to sign in so we can continue watching our shows, without being home.

There was road construction and an event happening nearby, roads were closed off and this made it difficult to get to the hotel. We had to park about 1.3 miles down the road and walk to the hotel with our bags in tow. Not very fun when it's 9 p.m. and you have a 9 year old with you.

Very nice facility with nice rooms. Good location close to sports and music venues. Great little bar and restaurant on the 4th floor.

Not the fault of the property, but road construction in the area makes it very difficult to find. The hotel offers a small discount on valet parking or a couple of free drinks to make up for the inconvenience.

The location of the downtown Courtyard Marriott was superb in regards to the event we frequented for the weekend at Stand Up Live with family. The walking distance was efficient and effortless to event and dining options.

The construction zones seemed endless and were very confusing to navigate initially. We could have benefited by proper signage and direction. We were a bit disappointed in the hotel dinner dining options. It was tough to attempt to order room service in time for our event obligation and many choices online for the restaurant were out of stuck. At that point we aborted the room service option and tried our chances at local downtown dining.

The location was very close from the airport. Also had a supermarket in a walking distance. There seemed to be many restaurants near by as well, though we didn’t visit any.

The car parking was very confusing. You would need to park your car near by since the valet service was quite expensive. The valet staff isn’t at their desk so often so is difficult to figure where and how to park.

The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel was beautiful. The room was comfortable. Very nice very well kept an very clean. We enjoyed our stay there. We loved how close it was to chase field and how everyone who stayed there was friendly.

Unfortunately the trains running nearby can be heard too much. If you have a light sleep, they can wake you up.

construction made navigation around the hotel very inconvenient and $40 parking, combined with no form of complimentary breakfast makes it feel like the hotel is trying to squeeze every dime from you. the wife is very slow making in room entertainment frustrating.

Staff was friendly, the property is beautiful and clean. The location is perfect for events in the Convention Center and for grabbing meals nearby

There’s no room service even though are two restaurants in the property and after a long day of travel this was disappointing.
