Hampton Inn & Suites Arcata

Loved the hotel and Staff. Will never use Booking.com again. Screwed up my reservation, absolutely horrible customer svc. Took a month to get a refund after I paid twice and booking.com was absolutely no help in getting the refund. First and last time using this company. Horrible experience and so much wasted time with them.

Breakfast very nice , especially the coffee nice start for my next day of travel all in one. the dining area is nice and large and very clean , good choice of breakfast foods including fresh fruit .

The only thing I can find to complain about is the price , pretty high for one night stay but that applies to everything during this high inflation time. That is obviously not entirely under the control of the lodging.

The pool and hot tub were very nice.

We arrived at 8:00, it was dark and the hotel was completely unlit on the outside. It made for an uneasy experienve during check in. The next evening we showed up after 9 and they were on, so maybe they were saving cost by waiting to turn lights on later. Lights made the location more inviting.

The check in and out process was a breeze, even easier for my travel partners who were rewards members. The pool is open till 10, in-door, and clean. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We upgraded to a suite and it was worth the extra $10 for the space and a full sized sink which came in handy. Good quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

The area has a lot of transients. None appeared to be on the property and the hotel was well fenced and lit. Also, due to pandemic precautions the breakfast was a cold and pre-packaged one. I would have preferred a hit breakfast because it was cold in the morning and very windy that day.

The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub . I enjoyed the hot breakfast ,juice and coffee bar. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave. I also liked the snack bar so I didn't have to leave to go eat.

The vending machine wouldnt take dollar bills only change and water bottles were sold out, had to go to first floor and get it from snack bar. Elevator was kind of a wait in the morning. But overall everything was perfect.

Breakfast was OK we only ate there once for breakfast. Room was affordable. Noisy guests were booked right above us and next to us.

No robes, slippers, and housekeeping did not clean our room at 10 like we asked. I think that was the front desks fault and only happened on one day.

Hampton Quality!

We waited til 3 in the afternoon to check in and were assigned to 2nd floor because we came at 3 instead of 4 or 4:30? We were told by the desk clerk that is the ‘new’ policy? It does seem a bit tricky to do this mid summer when so many are traveling? When do you decide just to do this?

We walked into our room and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and very clean. We had a king room with a spa. The spa was clean and worked perfectly. It's seldom that we actually enjoy being in our hotel rooms, but my husband and I felt like we could relax and hangout some. They had a very good hot breakfast, and the staff kept the area clean and stocked.

The bed was a bit hard.

Lovely breakfast space with waffle machine and two flavors of waffle mix. Room is spacious with nice spa tub. Clean and newly remodeled bathroom.

Only one elevator and it takes some time to wait in the morning .

Very nice hotel and location. Staff was great. Everything was clean and in good condition. There is a nice restaurant, Peppers, nearby for meals. Breakfast was typical for a Hampton Inn.

The hotel was a good value, but it was on the pricier side.
