Carmel Inn & Suites

The facility is located within walking distance of the shopping and dining area of Carmel. It is not a close walk to the beach, however, unless you really like to walk. But the beach is close. The room is comfortable and just the right size. It is not luxurious, nor is there any kind of view. But if you're out and about all the time, that is not important. There is a basic, cold breakfast set at the door every morning which will get you through until lunch. I definitely feel the accommodations are correctly priced.

Our room fan and central light did not work. That, of course, is fixable. Nothing else was amiss.

We were very comfortable in our room (king suite with couch) and were very pleased to have a view of the ocean. We also appreciated the continental breakfast - a very nice touch. In addition, the rate was extremely reasonable. We look forward to staying at Carmel Inn and Suites again!

We had some trouble with our key cards at first but that got sorted out. We would have appreciated housekeeping service. We do understand, however, that hotels don’t always offer it now due to the pandemic.

It was cozy and the location was very convenient to a lot of the restaurants and stores in Carmel. I loved the gardening around the motel. They gave us a continental breakfast at our doorstep. The water in the shower had good pressure and warmed up quickly. It was a nice and quiet place to stay.

The bed was hard and there was gap under the door that could be easily fixed so critters could not come in. The parking lot is small and tight however this is common in Carmel and there is street parking.

Location is great. Free onsite parking super helpful. Cute picnic basket with breakfast left outside room every AM was a nice treat. Bed comfy, room clean, all creature comforts were there.

On-site free parking is nice though spaces are small and guests with large SUVs will take up 2 spaces and should street park in consideration of others. Room decor is tired and needs updating. Fabric headboard stained from body oils, bedspread, drapes, fabric on chairs worn.

I like the room design, so old world... spacious bathroom with nice and colorful toiletries... Breakfast in the basket reminded me of hotels in Glastonbury...boiled eggs and bread could have made it a complete breakfast...and they should be delivered earlier than 8 to 8:30..so close to bus stop, so going to Monterey is easy....the front desk people were so helpful and easy to deal with

The bedsheets were a bit itchy...no bread and eggs included in the breakfast... But supermarket is just a block away...

Good sized room, nice comfortable bed, a breakfast basket was delivered to outside my room in the morning.( a nice surprise)overall a nice place to stay.

The pool was not operational and did not look like it was going to be anytime soon, no microwave oven in the room, and not sure if the room has any Air Conditioning? ( did not need it when i was there) but cant imagine being there in July with no AC.

Nice motel, very central location in Carmel, close to the shops and not far from the beach.

Included continental breakfast was just OK, and for room service only (because of the pandemic, I guess). Maid service was oddly limited (possibly for the same reason?); they would enter the room, empty the garbage bins, and replace towels, but the bed was not made. No big deal, but weird.

The service, location and employees were friendly, courteous and helpful with our questions. Continental breakfast outside our door each morning was so welcoming as well as delicious. The location was right near the happenings of the quaint town.

Rooms were clean.

There was no elevator. I was expecting to have my breakfast between 7-10 am. We got up at 7 and there was nobody at the reception. They even dont have a breakfast room. They bring it to you 08:30am. If you have to leave before you have no breakfast. It was very weak breakfast just one apple,one little box milk for husband and i they want you to share. Cereal, orange juise and little pastary.

The desk staff was very pleasant. We did not realize that there was a breakfast basket delivered to our doorstep, which was a treat.

The parking area is very small with "compact car" parking spaces. The lack of property makes the spaces very small.
