Tradewinds Carmel

Our room (2) was clean and spacious with the king size bed being comfortable. Our deck was on the second floor with a partial view of the ocean. The breakfast was light, but that's the way we like it. I really appreciate coffee being available around 6:00 am in the lobby. It helped start of our days. The staff was very friendly/helpful and available for any questions. Overall, the rooms and the grounds were kept very clean. Very serene location.

Not much to say, but we noticed a couple evenings hearing people walking around the room above us. It was never late, but it could be a potential problem for some people if it was loud and went late into the evening. I don't think much can be done, but screwing down the floor boards to minimize some of the noise might help. Again, a minor issue too us.

Great experience from the moment we checked in and were welcomed with fresh cookies! The staff was very accommodating throughout the stay and the complimentary breakfast was a delightful start to each morning. Room was very clean and comfortable- beds were too. The property is well maintained and quite delightful. There's plenty of outdoor seating and cozy nooks, plus the water features create a nice ambiance. Would definitely return!

Our room was on the 2nd of 3 floors and the first night we had some exceptionally loud upstairs neighbors. We ended up calling the front desk because the noise was interfering with our ability to sleep. They handled the situation very professionally and spoke to the other guests. Once that happened, we didn't hear a peep for the rest of our stay. We didn't hear any of our other neighbors during the stay so I'm guessing these particular guests were just unusually loud.

For starters, the staff at the Tradewinds Carmel were very friendly and professional. Each person we spoke with over the phone ahead of our trip and engaged while we were there were excellent. Second, the hotel has a very attractive theme and the rooms are quiet, clean and cozy. Next, the location is a close walk to downtown Carmel, which we loved. Parking was also convenient at the property, but knowing there was a free street parking (in case the lot was full) was encouraging. Finally, the individualized breakfast service was something we have never encountered before and was a unique and welcome touch for what ended up a perfect stay.

Nothing. Tradewinds Carmel exceeded every expectation we had.

Hotel was nice and very clean. You can hear the people walking upstairs . So unfortunately we didn’t get much sleep because the person in the room above us was walking around all night. If you come in late parking is limited. Breakfast is nice but it’s not for everyone. Beds were comfortable.

For the price you pay a night rooms should be better insulated. You can hear people walking on the floor above you. No refrigerators Or microwaves in room. They did have a cooler like refrigerator but not really for perishables

The hotel room had a lot of character and felt very welcoming. The individual fountain in the room was very soothing. From the time that we arrived at the hotel, the staff was very helpful and provided quick and friendly service. The continental breakfast that was brought to our room was amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was a few blocks from the Main Street of Ocean Ave, but it was very walkable. Going to town, we walked downhill, but returning to the hotel, we had to walk uphill which was a bit tiring.

Perfectly situated room with views of the ocean. Very private and quiet at the end of a hallway so little foot traffic. Bed was very comfortable with the softest sheets. Complimentary breakfast delivered to your door was a real treat. Ample parking at hotel and on street.

Shower is very small and shower head sprays in crazy directions making the shower floor very wet when getting in/out. Located a couple of blocks further away than other hotels but worth the extra steps. Two flights of stairs might be tricky to navigate for some guests with luggage.

Exquisite luxury hotel nestled in the hillside at the top of Mission Street. The room had everything in a spa type setting. The mattress felt like We were resting on a cloud with down pillows and comforter. The beautiful bathroom had a jacuzzi tub with beautiful robes and toiletries. The morning breakfast was served in a darling basket filled with berries, croissants, yogurt, orange juice, coffee etc. we felt like we were on a cruise. Walking downhill to Ocean Ave, where everything is located was close by, but is a little hard for someone with bad knees like my husband. This will always be our first choice for accommodations... no need to look further. We loved it!

The water features and landscaping were so tranquil. Also loved the water feature in the room. Amazing bath/shower. Spacious room. Loved the continental breakfast that was delivered in a basket each morning. Very friendly staff. Convenient location a few blocks from the main shopping/dining area. They don't automatically do housekeeping each day, but you can request it, so we did (we were traveling as a family of four, so it helped keep things in order.)

This was a great place, and I would definitely stay here again. Minor comments - the sheets were very nice, but the mattress was not my favorite (it felt like a coil type that meant it bounced when your partner moved), and it was hard to get airflow into the room without also getting the noise from the courtyard (but when the windows were closed, it was very quiet in our room).

Check in was simple and the cookies were very much appreciated. Our room was truly beautiful. From the tinkle of the table fountain to the decor to the fireplace, this was a remarkably lovely space. The bed was comfortable and we were super pleased with the room. Breakfast was included and we had a choice of options. Breakfast was available to us very early as we had to leave in the wee hours of the morning. Otherwise it would have been delivered to our room in a basket that is thoughtfully prepared with everything one needs. Great job!

Parking is not easy as it is mostly street parking. No elevator. Television streaming was not available.

we love the cleanliness and the deco of the room. the whole place has a zen vibe, and the room follows that. it was neat, simple and functional.bathroom is of nice size , has a jet tub.

I would have liked the maids come make the bed and wash our coffee mugs from one day to the other. the room has a very comfortable sink by the coffee maker, and a mini bar, but nothing to clean the cups. it is just a detail, didn’t impacted us since we stay just two days.
