Carmel Valley Lodge

Love the ambiance, fire pits, chess and pool. The gift shop was cute and well stocked. We loved the balcony that overlooked the pool! It was very lovely.

The staff. The gentleman at the front desk was very condisending and seemed "put out." He changed when another staff member walked in and he became immediately nicer. He seemed annoyed and burnt out of "tourists." He said he lives on the property and eluded to how annoyed he would be if we needed him after hours. I just steered clear of him to avoid being talked down to, like I was the stupidest person on planet earth.

This is a bit inland from the Bay Area but not too far - only about 20 mins of a very pleasant drive. Hotel is very pretty - log cabin style with pretty gardens. The pool was wonderful for cooling down after the heat of the morning. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were absolutely lovely, recommending where we could go out for dinner and so on. Altogether a very enjoyable one night stop - over on our way down the coast. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Friendly receptionist and staff that made sure to attend to our needs. We arrived past our normal check-in time and Juliana was still waiting for us, which was such a relief as we didn't have cell reception to call on time. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Pool and hot-tub amenities were excellent. Very chill and calm atmosphere.

The mini fridge in our room didn't get cold enough to keep our perishables cold even on the coldest setting. Could probably be fixed easily with a quick maintenance. Also, no microwaves in the room (not a big deal, but would be nice for heating up left-overs from our trip).

Such a beautiful property and very close to the quaint town of Carmel Valley. Their gardens are lovely, the pool and hot tub were wonderful, and the continental "plus" breakfast a real treat. The bed linens were exceptionally soft (so nice and popular, in fact, that they sell them in their gift shop). There is also a charging station for electric cars.

breakfast was nice, the room was very clean and comfortable. They also lighted the outdoor fire-pit which was nice at night. Good location within walking distance of good restaurants. The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. We were pretty lucky to have the place to ourselves since it wasn't a busy time of year.

hot tub wasn't available - but it was damaged from previous storms - it happens...

This is a beautiful little hotel in a fabulous location. Our room was big and had everything we needed. We would love to have stayed longer but we were only travelling through this area. The staff are really lovely. I didn’t use the pool as I had a cold but the others in my group did. The fire pits in the eve are a great place to relax and unwind.

The room was very charming and relaxing. The entire front office, the gardens and our room was absolutely beautiful, Every where you went it was very well care for and clean. The breakfast was a sweet touch to our stay. We would highly recommend anyone travel to stay at Carmel Valley Logde !!!!

Great location, close to all the tasting rooms and restaurants in the Carmel Valley. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were well furnished and equipped. Loved the fireplace! Everything was clean, the staff was lovely, and the property was great as well. The included breakfast was good, complete with freshly baked croissants. We were able to check in early too which was a great bonus!

We pretty much loved everything. The only thing I would suggest is adding a coffee machine to the room, just because the lobby doesn't start offering coffee until 8am and some people are early risers. :)

They offered a very nice continental breakfast. Drink options are limited to coffee, tea, water or orange juice in a small container.

There are no USB ports in the room. The shower head was installed a little close to the wall. There is no ventilation in the room. It would get stuffy after leaving for a few hours.

Room was perfect for our situation with a small dog. The pool is getting a fab face-lift. Breakfast was yummy.nearby Parkway perfect. Staff is wo Delightful and very helpful. Really good restaurants nearby.

Distance to pebblebeach was greater than expected. But workable
