Contenta Inn

The pool was nice, hot tub was nice but small. Room for two people or four really close friends. Overall very well located to town. They are continuing to make upgrades to the property. Things were nice but done inexpensively. The mattress was very comfortable.

Turned out to have too many kids staying mid week. I was not expecting to see so many kids in the pool. We were kid free for the first time in many years and based on the location and town activities ( mostly wine tasting venues, no kid activities in town) were not expecting to see so many kids around. They need to step up the continental breakfast offerings. This is a place where they can improve the guest service experience. There are good local pastries available in town which can be offered instead of Costco bagels and instant oatmeal.

This place has a cute retro aesthetic and it had a great pool, hot tub, and ping pong table for use into the night. The pool overlooked the mountains and we had it mostly to ourselves which was great. We had a late check in and the staff was super accommodating and there was continental breakfast in the morning with great Carmel Valley coffee. The area nearby is full of vineyards and cute restaurants, although they do close a little early. Amazing spot!

The restaurants around the place close a little early as we arrived late, which is not the fault of the Inn, just something to note for future travel planning. The lobby and staff were not open or there when we arrived but we were able to get the key via a lockbox.

Danielle the host was a big reason for the overall satisfaction. The pool was clean and the hot tub was great. Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Overall the property is well maintained and very peaceful.

The showers in the room are to low. For example I am a 6’ man and I had to bend over to wash my hair. The shower works well for a 5 foot person. The TV didn’t work and John the evening host was unable to help, I wish he would’ve came back to fix the TV like he said he was.

We went for the weekend of July 4th for some peace and quiet and to escape the fireworks. It was perfect for that. Every room faces the pool so there is noise from kids playing in the pool but that’s why families would come to a place like Contenta. It was family friendly and very pet friendly. Every room had a little patio with chairs and a table to relax with coffee or a glass of wine.

The TV was super small for such a large room but that’s not what we left town to do.

The receptionist was great. Very nice and feels like she went above and beyond. The room was very cute! The room had matching rattan furniture that gives off island bohemian vibes. Every room has a small private patio area with some patio furniture to kinda just hang out in. Acess to the pool is literally through the sliding door. The room is very specious as it's the bathroom. The pool are was great. The price was very very good for such a cute little inn. I highly highly recommend staying here.

There's no AC but opening the windows and sliding door worked just fine.

The updated vibe was refreshing. Loved the enclosed patio each unit had and the close proximity of the pool. Eateries within a short walking distance.

The bathroom could use an update. The rug was also also worn and stained. The jacuzzi wasn’t working either.

The room was nice and big, the place is quiet with a shared Jacuzzi and pool available. Air conditioning was working properly and there's free parking available. Also, worth mentioning, the bed is firm and really comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay, the property was really clean, comfy and peaceful. Recommended.

The property was beautiful in an amazing location. I loved the chill vibe and friendly staff. The vintage charm was awesome.

My water had trouble not leaking, I didn't realize my unit didn't have air conditioning and had heated up during the day (I should have read the fine print?), and some broken fence pieces at my unit. Also wifi wasn't great for my work video call.

Perfect location to do some winetastings in Carmel Valley Village. Nice pool and small patio to chill in the sun. Bed was amazing and room was very big!

The Inn was the perfect location for what we needed. It was an old style motor lodge and delightful. The staff from beginning to end were super pleasant, attentive and great communicators.

It was very hot during our stay and there is no air conditioning, however it is understood that the heat is more unusual than usual. We managed just fine since the ice machine, the pool and the spa were right outside the door!
