Calderwood Inn

The Location was perfect, the breafast was very tasty. The surrounding grounds lovely. and the staff amazing! The victorian and vintage decor was pleasant. The complimentary wine was a nice touch and home made cookies!

It would be perfect if there was a mini refrigerator and mini microwave either on the floor or in the rooms. There is no microwave for guests. The refrigerator it's on the front patio and gets full fast and is inconvenient. We were there on two windy nights, the windows rattling with every gust. Tighting the locking clasps would help. We didn't sleep well with the rattling going on.

Excellent location, close to town center. Host is very warm. House is very nicely decorated and landscaped with a lot of common areas to sitting around to have chats over tea or wine. Cleanliness is without question. Breakfast is good, but portion can be a little more. Showroom is super small even for slim people. Biggest drawback is the attic ceilings in the rooms are very low for most people to pose a real danger and uneasy feeling in walking around, particularly when waking up at night. All in all, still a good choice.

Location was excellent, 5 minute walk to main square of Healdsburg. Breakfast was outstanding. Room was super clean and luxurious. All in all a great place to stay when visiting Healdsburg or Sonoma wine country.

We were there in the middle of July, so needed to run the ac at night which was a little on the loud side. Not sure there's much they can do to fix that, just an observation from someone who doesn't normally run an ac. Maybe bring a set of ear plugs if visiting in summer.

This was such a charming place to stay. I appreciated the separate entrance to my room, as well as the generous size and access to the garden. The breakfast was cooked to order and really top notch; it far exceeded my expectations! I also received a glass of wine upon arrival! I loved the common space which was decorated for the holidays too. The staff were super friendly!

The tv reception was spotty but wi-fi worked fine. The heater worked well but was a bit loud. Fortunately, I was plenty warm with the lovely bedding!

Breakfast was seriously SO delicious! We also loved the front porch (and swing) especially. The people who work here were really nice as well. The wine at check-in was a great touch, as were the cookies!

Even though we texted our food accommodations to the innkeepers in advance, we were served foods with those allergens 2/4 days. Because there were multiple things served, we just skipped eating the things we couldn't eat, but if we had severe allergies this would've been very dangerous. Our room, Soda Rock, was definitely the "worst" room on the property as well--would definitely request any other room next time.

Loved the breakfast, always so good. Excellent service, chef was very pleasant as were those that were helping. What a beautiful garden too. The Inn Keepers offered wine and cookies and were so welcoming, and the communal living room was beautiful and relaxing.

It appeared the bathroom floor was heated but it wasn't. It was fine really, I don't want to be pretentious, but in winter the tile floor was a bit cold.

Very impressive Victorian style inn with attentive personnel. Nothing better than having a nice glass of wine on the terrace at sundown. Rich breakfast.

There should be some options for breakfast at this price point. You get served what the kitchen produced, like it or not. All is excellently prepared, but some would prefer a lighter breakfast. Kitchen is completely focused on their offer though.

Bed was comfortable. Innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty. Complimentary chocolate chip cookies were delicious. Location was within walking distance to downtown. The best feature of this inn is that, because it is owned by the Wilsons, we enjoyed complimentary wine tastings at three different Wilson owned wineries. Three award winning wineries with excellent wines in beautiful settings, which otherwise would have cost $25-30 per person. The only disappointment ( and it was a minor inconvenience) is that our room did not have a shower - only a sit in tub with hand held shower head. This was not disclosed to us ahead of time. Not a big deal for us. We didn’t even request a room change.

The breakfast was great and the innkeeper was very accommodating and even left us breakfasts to go in the fridge since we were leaving for an early bike ride. We were very appreciative!

The rooms were cute and comfortable, but it would be nice if they could be renovated and if there were more convenient electrical outlets.

Generous Room size. Direct access terrace. Above ground level light and air. Breakfast delivered.

The vintage bathroom. WOOD shelf above pedestal sink. Dim lighting. Torn window screen. Screw in wall suggesting missing mirror. Screw in wall suggesting missing hook. Mirrors too high for this 5’ tall visitor to see self. Shower spray pressure too hard. This visitor took only baths as a result. Nowhere to put bath toiletries but on floor. Had to suggest communal fridge be “checked” as it was STUFFED with whatever from previous guests.
