Such a beautiful place! Cabins are lovely and staff so welcoming. Just go, you’ll love it.

Absolutely no complaints ever! It’s our second time here and we love the atmosphere of Highlands Resort. The complementary breakfast is great and the rooms set a high bar for any other resort in Sonoma. The pool is beautiful , but still have not had the opportunity to go in myself….so looking forward to spending my next Sonoma trip back here again!

The city was working on the water pipes so water wasn’t available for a few hours but I can’t fault the resort; they did a great job to compensate for this minor inconvenience.

Cabins felt secluded because of the surrounding trees and quiet time at night but with a deck and pool close by it still felt like a resort. The staff were very friendly even extending breakfast time for us to grab some food for the road. The fireplace heats the room up quickly and though we didn't visit in the winter I trust it would still keep us warm when it's close to freezing outside.

The outdoor light for our cabin was broken which made it tricky getting back to the room at night without using a flashlight. A map outside of the main office that lists the cabins would be nice. It was hard to navigate the paper map so we just had to search around until we found our cabin at the end of the row.

Highlands resort is simply beautiful, and full of character and charm. The cabins are extremely well appointed and set in amongst the trees and landscaped gardens. Outdoor fire pit where you can sit and have your breakfast on a chilly morning. Lovely swimming pool too. The hosts made us feel welcome and were really helpful with local recommendations for food, drinks and nearby attractions to visit. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would definitely return on another trip.

The place is just charming.. the staff is wonderful.. from check in with Dar to breakfast with the GM (nicest lady wish I remembered her name) they couldn't do enough.. it was quiet and the bed was sooooo comfortable.. make sure you sit in the redwood circle and look up.. awesomeness! I'm from south florida and couldn't have picked a better place for my first trip to the area.. will be back! Thanks!!

I think the only thing I can mention is the neighbors cat who apparently was in heat or wanted to go in lol..a bit verbal in the evening.. but I love cats so didn't disturb much for me

I love that the staff is friendly, LGBQT+ loving, the cabins are soo cute, the pool is heated, and the fire pit is a perfect touch during the continental breakfast.

I didn’t like that the fire pit at night gets shut off at 8 when quiet hours aren’t enforced until 10.

The entire staff were awesome. You can tell they enjoy what they are doing. They were very helpful and always had a smile on there faces. To get away from the crowds at the river, they gave us directions to the where the local’s river hangout. It was quiet and beautiful. We stayed in one of their clamping tents. It was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. The the port a potty's and regular bathrooms were very clean. They have many chairs and tables nestled in different areas of their property. There location is walking distance to downtown. We strongly recommend staying at this place

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Immersed by nature, the hotel provided so many accommodations to our stay such as a gas fire place, kitchenware (corkscrew), and a bathtub big enough for two! At night all you could hear was toads and rain, which was a nice change of pace since we’re from LA. The staff was super friendly and willing to help. Can’t wait to see this place in the summer!

The path up to the hotel was kind of scary in the rain since it’s a one way but that truly didn’t ruin the experience.

Really cute, cabin-y decor yet all necessary amenities: ceiling fan, dishes, frig, microwave, even a gas fireplace! The common room/lobby was flooded with sun & filled with plants. Staff was helpful (special shout-out to Dar, who was extra nice.) Breakfast was generous & healthy. My fave: the redwood circle, a small grove of trees that form an area for meditation or just chilling!

Although I understand why they do not offer a TV or wifi, it would be good to note the lack of those features.

The facilities and the staff was helpful, friendly, and kind. The check in was simple. The location was unexpected. Cute spacious cottage with a kitchen and dining area. The bed was so comfortable! The cottage came with lots of light surrounded in the redwoods. The location was just a few blocks away from the main road where you could walk over to wonderful coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. I would definitely return for a longer stay!
