the owner was very warm and friendly. Staff over the counter was ok, just doing his job as he needs to. Owner gave me a room upgrade, which was nice! However, the room did not have basics like coffee/tea and boiling kettle. But it has fridge and microwave etc though which was handy as well :)

Even though it’s very old and could use a good renovation, it was clean with a good bed and shower. It has been maintained.

Spacious and confortable rooms, good bathrooms, good amenities and good location. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Sam and Arti were very helpful and accomodating.

I think the business group who owns this should invest on a refit. Please remove the carpets, swap for laminated wooden floor for hygiene reasons (also it will speed up the cleaning time, as carpets take a lot longer to be hoovered). The carpets have a strong chemical smell probably accumulated cleaning products, it doesn't feel healthy. Perhaps it is time to recycle your towels and bed linens too, they seemed to have passed the expire date. If you do, please donate them to the Salvation Army, just down the road. They offer shower facilities for the homeless community. They can also sell the bedlinen by weight for recycling generating funds for their community work.

I loved the room having a small kitchenette it was very convenient. I loved the king size bed and how close the hotel was to the OC fairgrounds. It was helpful for my event that I went to. I loved how there's shops and restaurants within driving distance. The pub next door was a nice kick and the Mexican restaurant next to the pub looked good even though I didn't get a chance to try it.

The carpets were sticky. I think they know and just haven't gotten around to it. Dont walk around barefoot cuz you'll get black feet. I'll still stay here again if I had another event at the OC fairgrounds due how convenient it is.

There was no breakfast

I had to go tell them the air didnt work in the room one of the lights didnt want to work. I had to get a roll of toilet paper. But other then that it was very nice. I use to be there all the time when it was super 8.

It was great staying really but the greatest thing that I like is the two guys at the reception section.I think his name was SAM but I don't remember name of the second guy who his shift was by night.Thank you and for sure I will back again.this review for only rooms at GROUND FLOOR (RENEW)

Beds blankets,sheets and pillows covers you have to make sure it is clean and there are no any dirt spots or any thing else on it.Don't rent at second floor it is old and stinky

Excellent customer service and value. Great Location. 15 mins tops to Beaches, Balboa, even Downtown HB. Patrick’s Pub right there if you get thirsty. Cheap drinks and also great service from that bar. Feels like a home away from home

So far I stayed here twice, first time the room was very nice and clean, the 2nd time I was given a free upgrade to a solo king with kitchen however the room was a little more banged up than the one prior. I let it slide though because each time the customer service has been top notch.

Well when I was working a last min gig and needed something affordable for a good price. So after I went on booking dot com this place popped up as cheapest in area. So booked it last min and glad the check in gave me a call and told them I'm on my way. After I checked in supprised how nice the room was the check in was a breeze and best part was some of the other hotels wanted a rediclious ammount for cleaning deposit and this one didn't. Room had everything to desk to seating area microwave and fridge. Close by to restuarants and shops. Overall had little complaints.

There were only a few negatives. One was no boxes of tissues but did bring it to there attention on check out and it was because due to covid causing people to get parinoid on who used it last. But they said next time they would supply it and didn't worry because was next to 7-eleven which had what I needed. Other complaint was before walking into 7-eleven had a transient outside try to beg for money and after roam the hotel area but glad he was already on notice so they made sure the guy left and glad the hotel looks out too for guests safety.

I have a HUGE thing for bathrooms. , And the standard is set high especially when talking cleanliness. Here they have exceeded and I saw them go above and beyond for maintaining proper sanitization. It's incredible. Now on top of that, their customer service and tending to guest is superb. They greet, acknowledge you, accept you, you almost want to make them your friend. Check in and out is so timely, organized,and friendly. Television,beds, floor, sinks, and parking lots are all just want you want to see and be surrounded with. The fact that the staff all work hard to make sure local and visitor guest feel comfortable,nearly at home, but they're not is the best feeling in the world and how a hotel should be. They did everything right. The pool wasn't open yet most likely because it's not just yet summer but everything else made up for it. Definitely if you're in the area go here if you're looking for quantity AND quality all around It's affordable and beautiful. 1000 stars all the way

Nothing I loved it all

The property is in a great location. The rooms are extremely clean and are a lot bigger than all the other hotels in the same are that cost around the amount of money per a night. I had only planned on staying a couple days and have now been here over a week. The bathroom is a perfect size for 2 people to be getting ready at the same time and the shower size is great for someone like me who is 6 ft. tall. The staff have all been incredibly helpful and accommodating. Art and Jeff who both work at the front desk have really gone out of there way to not only be helpful but, also respectful and extremely professional. I also would like to mention that the maids have went out of there way to be friendly, polite and helpful every day.
