Onsen Hotel and Spa

A gem in the rough. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel/spa especially after a long day at Joshua Tree National park. Everything was top notch. Pool was heated and hot tub was spacious. Room was fab and bed was comfy. We love being treated like royalty.

We didnt get to spend more time here. Arrived late evening.

The breakfast was sausage and hard boiled eggs, 3 juices, cereal and milk. The beds are comfortable. It was quiet. The pool was the best I've ever been in, it was warm, clean, and mineral spring water. We loved the jacuzzi after too. Got to swim before leaving and that was wonderful. We ate at Delicious Mexican and it was very good!

The location was in a location where there was low income and homeless on one side, an empty lot full of left over construction junk on one side, and expensive homes on the other side. I was alarmed at first and missed turning into the parking lot the GPS sent us to. Thats where the low income were. I was afraid for our RAV. FORTUNATELY, there is another parking lot that was safe, and we parked there. There was even a Porsche there. We had no problems. I would definitely stay there. It's too bad the town isn't helping the businesses out by cleaning up lots, moving homeless, etc.

The continental breakfast at this hotel was exactly what we need. It had a perfect mix of meat, yogurt, fruit, and toast with coffee or tea. The food was fresh, delicious and perfectly presented. It was the perfect way to start the day and gave us the energy we needed to explore the surrounding areas. The hotel was located in a peaceful and tranquil area, which was perfect for us as we were looking for a quiet and relaxing break. Despite being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was still within easy reach of Palm Springs, making it an ideal location for exploring the city. We also appreciated the fact that there was no noise disturbance, ensuring that we had a peaceful and uninterrupted night's sleep. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Overall, this hotel is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for a tranquil, peaceful and relaxing getaway. The breakfast was excellent, and the location was perfect. If you're looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay close to Palm Springs, then this hotel is definitely worth checking out.

The only downside to your stay was the lack of a USB plug by the bedside. This could be a minor inconvenience for guests who rely on their devices, but it doesn't detract from the overall positive experience at the hotel. Nonetheless, it's worth noting that adding USB plugs by the bedside could be a nice addition to enhance the convenience and comfort of guests.

FABULOUS remodel! Wonderful touches to take the whole feel up a few notches. KENDRA made the difference in many ways. Loved the simple but fresh and wonderfully healthy breakfast choices. The night color balls by the pool and spa added a nice relaxing vibe. The jets and size of the mineral hot springs tub was PERFECT!

I can only come up with the smallest tips; instead of the larger sizes shampooo, lotions etc ( which are fab) redirect the $ to nicer TP :-). Also a hairdryer in each room and a built in makeup mirror would’ve made this a 10.

Incredible place to stay in Hot Desert Springs!! John, general manager, leaves both jacuzzi and swimming pool open at night so you can enjoy them under the stars and then go to sleep like a baby. Room is enormous, fully renovated and breakfast is great too: bagels, muffins, waffles, yogurt, cereals, juice, omelette, sausages, some fruits, etc. John and his staff are very helpful and nice. We would definitely come again!

I had a great stay. I booked this last minute for Coachella and it was a really nice spacious hotel room. The staff was really nice and it was nice they offered free breakfast. I really enjoyed the room. They gave us free champagne when we checked in which was nice.

The TV's netflix didnt work and there was no closet.

Absolutely fabulous pool and spa fed by a natural mineral spring. Perfect place to "take the waters" and relax. But the pool even big enough to swim. Really lovely and accommodating stuff. Large rooms, strong AC.

Room design is a bit gaudy, but everything is new and very clean. Breakfast could be a bit better: would love to see some granola bars and plant based milks. Now it's just sugary yogurt, milk and pastries.

Excellent hotel that I'd recommend to anybody! Staff were extremely friendly - offered to transport our luggages and we had great conversations at breakfast. The comfort of the room exceeded our expectations. Hot spring tub is amazing. Don't miss this hidden gem if you're looking for a perfect stay!

Nothing! I wish every boutique hotel can be like Onsen!

I loved this hotel. When we arrived a wonderful receptionist Tracy setved us champagne. The room was very clean, modern, spacious, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and had good choices. The staff, especially Tracy were very nice and accommodating. Tracy is helpful, warm and very nice. I definitely highly recommend this place.

The staff, especially Kendra and John, were probably the most accommodating of any hotel we've stayed in! They were warm, welcoming, helpful, and made it seem like we were friends who were coming to visit for a weekend!

If I could have picked up this hotel and placed it somewhere within walking distance of restaurants, etc., that would have been perfect.
