Motel Capri

Room was very clean and the AC worked really well. parking was VERY easy and you can see pretty much the whole parking lot from the door. The Microwave and the Fridge was the main reason I chose this hotel. The bonus was it was really close to the wharf which is where i was planning on spending the majority of my time. Quiet neighborhood as well. i didn't eat at restaurants, but there are a number of them (vegan included) very close.

It was honestly great - The only really unfortunate thing was I was traveling with a lot of stuff.... it was the last day of a week long California trip. Like all hotels I was urged to not leave anything valuable in my car... I went up to my room to make sure the key worked and to check it out, went to the elevator and it didn't ever come up... went to the first floor and there was a sign on the first floor elevator that said the elevator was out of order. Would have been nice to have that on every floor, but it wasn't any form of a deal breaker. I realize things get out of order, but a sign on the 2nd and 3rd floors for people like me who check the room out first would be nice.

Spacious enough for family of 4, amazing location- walking distance to shops and restaurants and 2 blocks away from Union street with good uni connection to china town and union square. The room had refrigerator and a microwave which we found especially useful and having a light breakfast from the breakfast room was great. Helpful staff.

The room smelled damp and decor is very dated. Curtains were all broken and the black out curtains only covered half of the window.

Free parking in the cow Hollow Union Street area is a huge bonus! Right across the street from our favorite restaurant the brazen head. Walking distance to Chestnut Street and Union Street shops and restaurants. Terrific value for the location and parking.

Rooms are a little bit rundown, and the breakfast was just dry cereal with a gallon of milk in a little fridge. It would be nice if they would add fresh fruit like bananas and apples to their offering.

We stayed here twice, started and finished our road trip here. This review is about our second stay, in room 314. It was very good! Much better room than the first one. Everything worked (heater, TV). Was in a much better shape than the first room. A little less spacious, but still comfortable. Great bed, no noise, good water pressure in the shower, safe area.

There was nothing to dislike during our second stay here.

The location was just right for what I wanted to see in San Francisco. And the price compared to other places nearby was ok. The bed was comfortable. The office provided us with forks when our take out didn't put any in our dinner.

It is an old motel that has had some improvements, but don't expect a slick room. The shower was pretty weak. I asked for a quiet room and the old elevator was right next to the room. Unfortunately I tried to watch tv after the office was closed and I couldn't get it to work. Probably my fault but...

I enjoyed the fact everything is within walking distance and has parking available! Staff was very friendly and housekeeping did a good job with our room! My parents stayed down a block away and they regretted it cause they were to close to loud bars and drunk parties! No complaints on our stay and would like to say thank you motel capri!

Very convenient location - walking distance to everything in the city center. The room was big enough for out 4-adult group. There was a small fridge, microwave and a coffee machine. The bathroom was clean and nice. We had breakfast included that consisted of cereals and milk, bread and jam, tea/coffee and juice. During our stay the elevator didn’t work but we didn’t mind, hopefull it is temporary. Highly recommended

The area was *great* for my needs, with parking & nearby restaurants & amenities within walking distance. Just blocks from the beautiful Marina & Palace of Fine Arts, it is a great location. Although it is an ‘older’ motel, it is very well-kept & attractive, with a warm & helpful staff.

I prefer windows that open, so lacking that in the main room was a bit disappointing. People passing by on the walkway were a bit loud… but both of these are minor.

We loved the comfortable quiet room in a wonderful location in San Francisco. Bed was very comfy. It was also cheap compared to other options in the area. The reception staff were very helpful in storing our bags and also changing our booking when we had to leave a day early.

Breakfast was okay, could have had more healthy options. Power cut out if too many people using toasters.

I loved that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was very clean and quiet. Our AC wasn’t working when we checked in. The owner tried to fix it and maintenance wasn’t answering the phone, so he moved us to another room and it was a bigger room than I originally booked. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to San Francisco.
