Town House Motel

This was a typical American motel, room was comfortable and clean but could do with a bit of a refresh and some TLC. The location was good for us although we did not appreciate how much uphill there is in San Francisco, so walking was not an option. We would recommend Alcatraz and the Big Bus Tour but avoid the Aquarium at Pier 39, the Science Academy in Golden gate Park has a much better Aquarium and lots else to see. Enjoyed the cable car but very crowded.

Lack of tea/coffee making facility

location was excellent - walkable to many notable areas of San Francisco. Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and personable. Shower toiletries smelled delicious! Alarm clock made a pleasant beep instead of a terrifying screech.

Shuttle service to the airport wasn't available on the day we needed it - we didn't realize we should have booked in advance; would have been nice to be informed of that upon check-in (we were happy to hear the driver got to take some classes he'd wanted to take instead, though). Shower was a bit on the small side and water did pool at the the drain - a bathtub would have been ideal. In-unit temperature control would have been nice as the air conditioner would come on frequently and make the room a bit too cold at times.

Originally asked for a ground floor (needed access for a 97 grandmother) which was provided along with an early arrival time which ended up being even earlier than I had asked for. Manager said no problem and I was happy to get into the room to relax after a long trip. Parking was included which was right in front of the room😀. Also plenty of free ice!

I miss the early morning donut that ended with Covid which is understandable. It would also be nice to have a microwave in the room since the one in the office was not always available for our unusual schedule. Forgot to mention to the manager that the toilet leaked water at random times which a new stopper would easily fix. Otherwise the parking area was clean and garbage cans were emptied daily.

If you consider the price range, it's a great deal! Granted, the motel is a bit dated but the rooms are cleaned daily, there are products and fresh towels in the bathroom and the staff is very friendly. The free parking is a big plus, and the location is great, about 20min by foot from Fisherman's wharf.

No coffee(maker), I read in previous reviews that coffee used to be available at the lobby, but that's no longer the case. Maybe good to know for future visitors.

The staff person was really nice and understanding of what we asked. The room was a decent size and the beds were super comfortable. The room was very clean, it had a nice-sized fridge and the beds were a good size too. The location was great! It was close to many interesting attractions and well connected to the bus. The neighborhood was pretty and felt very safe. There's also many restaurants around.

The shower is pretty small, so be aware of that if you're a really tall person. There were many things kind of broken but working ( toilet had a big mark from like a hit, it was fixed with just duct tape, the cover of the fan in the bathroom was almost falling, also fixed with tape, the plugs worked but if you moved the charger the slightest bit it stops working, things like that ). Sometimes you can hear the footsteps of people upstairs.

Owner was pleasant . Check in was pleasant . Let me park early accommodating and gave me lower level room as a I was disabled. In a cast. . Location to fisherman's wharf. Marina district, union street and transportation nearby. I would stay here again.

Hotel guests above our room was noisy all night. Millennials lol. We signed an affidavit at check in to be quiet But it was fleet week and Giants game ,Warriors game was going on a lot of excitement a busy weekend. . We understand that. But they didn't follow rules a little annoying . Until 3.30am in the morning. Otherwise felt comfortable and safe. I slept but my wife didn't. But Affordable and close to north beach and fisherman's wharf fleet week airshow. Is was a hustle bustle weekend. Other than that . We were fine. Just a few too many people in one room above our room.

Awesome for the price, no complaints, mini fridge, tv, closet, altogether a great choice when visiting SF

Have to stretch to think of anything I didnt like. I suppose the parking lot is a little awkward to get out of? The wooden blinds could stand a little fix I guess. Otherwise it was well worth the price and I plan to come back again in the future for sure.

Ok, shout outs to the Indian/Hindi Owner(or manager) at the front desk who checked me in late around midnight! He was by far one of the nicest guys from a motel that I've stayed at! Location wise is in the heart of Marina District; the north bay is within walking distance! Takes about 10 minutes or more to walk to the Palace of Fine Arts! There are some small restaurants like Ly's Vietnamese Kitchen, Chubby Noodles on the 101/Lombard st where you can walk to get take outs, but have to order before 21:00/9pm before they close. And it's worth the price that is less than 100$ a night, in SF that's actually pretty good 'cause cost of living there is insanely high!

The area is a bit dirty, parking lot is very small so if you drive then it can be a pain to park there. Moreover, you have to park nose in, otherwise can be fined for not following so. Regarding the room, it's fairly clean, but toilet is a small so for someone who's big or tall, it can be hard to get in.

I love the location and I love that they accommodated my travel request.

How thin the walls are we could hear the neighbors talking all night. The shower nozzle was broke off and the shower could have been cleaned better. The toilet is old and needs a new seat cover. Vending machines are not available, as we thought.

This is a solid motel. Clean room, comfortable bed, free parking, helpful staff -- and an excellent location. Its a 2 star hotel so not luxurious. But great value for the price and location. I will definitely stay there again. As others have mentioned the manager's welcome set the tone, he was really gracious.

I actually have nothing negative about this motel.
