Nob Hill Motor Inn

Our room was very spacious and newly renovated with two very comfy queensize beds and a very nice bathroom. It was cleaned daily. The room even offered a little kitchenette with a sink, microwave, fridge and coffee-mashine (inkl. all ingredients to make a cup of coffee). Nob Hill Motor Inn is perfectly located in a VERY nice, trendy neighbourhood with lovely places to eat nearby. We walked downtown, to the Piers, to Chinatown and to Pacific Heights but a bus station is also close by on Vann-Ness Str. The gentleman at the front desk is very kind. Wifi wasn't properly working on our first day but a technician fixed it on the next day. From then on wifi was running great even on the 3rd floor. A truly pleasant 3-day stay.

The location of Nob Hill Motor Inn was incredible. It was centrally located in the heart of the city, near great restaurants.

The staff was really unfriendly, especially when my girlfriend and I arrived to the city of San Francisco. The lady at the front desk was unwelcoming, never said hello or welcomed us to the hotel. I spoke with a gentleman, the next day asking for extra bath towels. Again, was not greeted or felt welcomed at Nob Hill Motor Inn. Staff needs better hospitality skills. I've been in the hospitality industry for 25 year's (Hyatt Regency/Hilton) and Nob Hills display was unprofessional, to say the least.

No hassle check in and out, clean rooms, great location, no signs of bed bugs (we look for that first thing, lol). Had fridge, coffee maker with some coffee, sugar etc, and microwave.

Staff forgot to tell next shift that I had arranged late check out, so we got bugged a lot...

Free parking was important. Liked that hotel was within walking distance to many things because parking in other parts of the city is expensive and limited at times. Cable car stops were close. We walked back from dinner after dark and area seemed fairly safe. Other people were out walking also. We saw 1 or 2 homeless persons several blocks away from the hotel, while returning from dinner, but no one bothered us. Beds were very comfortable and place was quiet at night. Perfect for sightseeing trip, it was a place to sleep.

Drinks from the machines were expensive but rooms have refrigerators so we brought our own which was handy.

The staff was most helpful. I loved that there was free parking. My room was cleaned every single day with fresh towels. Great safe location with lots of places to eat and drink. Had all the necessities for a long stay like microwave, mini fridge, and even complimentary coffee.

I wasn’t sure if there was supposed to be a fan in the bathroom but it got kind of humid after a shower and the sheets sometimes felt a little damp. I wasn’t sure if it was the sheets being damp or the texture from all the bleach they must put on the sheets. Also it was kind of loud sometimes like in the weekends but luckily I could sleep through it.

it was close to even walk to all the locations us, for my sister and I at 70 yr old and 61 yrs old, the room was somewhat outdated, but it was clean and accommodating. and we walked around this place day and night and never had any problems. corner coffee shop and convenience store a few step away. bed and pillows were prefect. for the price I’d stay here again.

Free parking was nice, especially I drive a small SUV and we just parked it and took public Transportation. a few blocks away is the cable car too, on Hyde Street. you can call a cab or Uber. I loved the location, Quiet Street!

we were traveling for 3 weeks in the Sierra Mountains and used San Francisco as our jumping off point and airport. When we first arrived in early June, we spent one night there I liked the location, the accommodations, and free parking so we booked a room for our return trip Both rooms were nicely decorated and seemed to be quite clean. The tv, the internet and everything worked well for us. it is also close to some interesting places to eat. I’d say that Nob Hill Motor Inn was a good choice for us.

They advertised a continental breakfast, which isn’t being served currently due to COVID. The second room we stayed in needed a new rug.

Perfect location. Huge rooms and comfortable beds. Outstanding room cleaning service daily by helpful and polite staff. The janitor was helpful too. Lots of eateries nearby. Within a few steps from bus stops. Only a brisk 25 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Safe neighbourhood. Very picturesque roads.

The room was really old, tired, mouldy and smelt musty. The two receptionists we encountered were lazy and lacked manners. None of the staff we came across spoke competent English and communication was lost in translation at times. The price was really high for the quality of the room but given the extortionate cost of everything in San Francisco, they can charge whatever they like and get away with it.

I loved the location of this place! It was just a 20 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. It was situated in a quaint neighborhood with shops and eateries. I have a family of 5 and it's not easy to find somewhere affordable that can accommodate all of us in one room. But the Jr suite was perfect and very spacious. It didn't break the bank either. Although outdated in decor, it was clean and we felt safe. We would totally stay there again.

They are not going to be able to put off replacing carpet and updating rooms much longer. It's easy to overlook when you feel safe and in a great location. However, it's on its last leg in terms of the carpet, chair upholstery and stained grout tile work.

This motel is in a great location near the shops, bars and restaurants of Polk Street, and with easy access to all the central areas of San Francisco. The room was clean and comfortable

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the front desk is not staffed all the time - we arrived around 9 pm and had to wait 45 minutes for the desk staff to get back - we had missed a message from them because of wifi issues when travelling - so just be aware, and make sure you contact the hotel with an approximate arrival time beforehand
