Francisco Bay Inn

The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is easy to find, and the parking is very handy being right on site. The location is good, right on Lombard Street and within 15 minutes walk of fishmans wharf. In spite of being right in the city, this hotel was still quite a quiet location. There's also an excellent diner on Chestnut, just one block away from the hotel.

The only thing that would have been nice to have in the room was tea making facilities, as my wife missed her morning tea! I was more than happy with the coffee maker provided.

I was so thrilled to find this spot. It was essentially the same value as staying in a Motel 6 in Pinole to visit my boyfriend. The obvious difference being that it’s a beautiful, fresh vacation spot. The rooms were clean, the view was Incredible. We could see the bridge right from the bed. The beds were supportive. My neck pain went away while I was there. The cleaning service people were so sweet and our room had impressive water pressure. I can’t rave enough. Location-wise it was flawless too. Plenty of public transport. And we could walk to Pier 39, the Exploratorium, etc. Not only that, but there is a SafeWay 10 minutes walking distance, and the neighborhood is so gorgeous. Just pastel houses and flowing breezes and a mix of urban energy and nature right by the shoreline. Stay here!!!

We have visited San Francisco many times and this stay at the Francisco Bay Inn was by far our best stay ever. The rooms are fantastic, spacious and clean. Room service is awesome! Front desk team of Hitesh and Hema Patel were extremely courteous and helpful. Right on Lombard street, 15 min walk to Fisherman’s Wharf and loads of restaurants within walking distance.

Everything was perfect

The manager was very nice and considerate. He saw that our son was in a wheelchair while we were heading to the elevator. He asked if we would like the room next to the elevator instead. He went back to the front desk and changed our room. Then he came out and brought us the key. The location is great it's in the Marina district. It close to a lot of tourist attractions, site seeing, and restaurants.

- I really liked the employees at the front desk, they were polite and helpful. Check-in was smooth and they let me park the car at the parking spot for many hours after checkout for free. - Employees at the front desk even recommended us an Indian restaurant and the food over there was delicious.

very good location. Walk distance to the Palace of Arts and very close to the Golden Bridge, Pier 39 and other touristic points.

the light in the bathroom was dark. No breakfast offered and cable TV sucks. No much option at all on TV..

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was huge. Fridge and microwave were nice amenities. Solid location. Short Uber drive to the Wharf and Chinatown. Short walk to nearby restaurants. Heater/AC worked well. Free parking on the property was nice instead of a garage. Affordable. Friendly staff.

WiFi wasn’t the best. Could hear traffic outside of the hotel pretty clearly from inside the room (i.e. not very sound proof rooms).

Good location, free coffee at the front desk and friendly staff. Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge from the 3rd level

Rooms were quite dated and stuffy inside. There was an odour in the room when we entered and the lights in the bathroom flickered for 10 mins before correct operation everytime

Nice big room, reasonably clean. Great location, easy to get to the nice bits.

Just needs a bit of modernising as it’s quite dated. 80’s style wallpaper that’s peeling at the seems and the bathroom could do with regrouting.

Everything was good. Bed was so comfortable. The room was a good size. i liked that it had a iron and ironing board. Customer service was great.

Windows need to be updated to block out the noise. Just too noisy around that area. Maybe double pane windows
