Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Durango

When we arrived, they put us in a room with a funny smell. I'm pregnant so I told the front desk maybe I am just very sensitive to smells, and he immediately changed us to an amazing room on the bottom level. It was perfect. Huge room, my husband had a desk to work at, the shower was completely brand new. We used the swimming pool and hot tub a few times, and it was great to have a place for our son to play in the evening. A couple times we ordered food in and they were so generous about letting us use the breakfast area to eat and providing plates and silverware. The breakfast was all good except the waffles had a tangy taste to them, tasted strange and I ate one each morning. It is neat to see the deer come down to the window while you are eating. Walking into Durango is super easy.

The front desk staff, chef and breakfast was amazing. The room was very comfortable. I loved it that they served frittatas and crustless quiche for breakfast rather than the fake eggs you get you get at other hotels with free breakfast.

The internet seemed slow, but I was also having laptop problems so it may not have been the hotel's fault. The price was a bit higher than I expected. The Marriott Bonvoy website is a bit challenging. It was easier to book on Booking.com.

Honestly we liked everything about this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. And then there was breakfast! Second to none, the best ever experienced in a chain hotel. Chef Ralph was amazing and could not have been more friendly and helpful. This is where every other hotel should send their chefs/cooks to learn how to do it the right way. Thanks for an awesome stay and I promise we will be back!

Gentlemen running the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful! Left a rain jacket in the room which cleaning staff found and returned to the front desk staff which I called and they were able to arrange mailing it back to me - thank you!

Only one washer/dryer - which we had to wait for, but were still able to do a load of laundry while we were there. Would be nice if another washer/dryer could be added.

It was a huge bonus to get up and eat at the hotel and it came with the room. Food was great and the staff was the best

We stayed in a king handicap room. Plenty of room storage was different didn’t have a place to hang my wife’s dress. I do understand that it was set up handicapped visitors. Other than that everything was great.

The very friendly chef (Ralph) spoke to guests at breakfast, made a waffle for me, and fed the local deer (and their tiny fawns) with fruit right outside the window so everyone could enjoy watching them. You can tell he loves his job and that is always a joy to see.

A recent thunderstorm took out the TV service and it hadn't been repaired when we were there. I don't always watch TV when I travel, but I know that several guests were unhappy with this.

Ralph, the chef at breakfast, was the highlight of our stay in your Durango hotel. He was helpful, kind, and genuine. He is truly a representative of the Marriott image. The room was clean, and the pillows we’ll probably be ordering from your website. However, Ralph , was the highlight of our stay.

Our proximity to the elevator, it was very noisy. However, we slept well.

Breakfast was fine. Location was good about 1 mile from downtown.

There was a problem with the A/C in the room it would run quietly then the noise would build until it sounded like a lawn mower right next to the bed. It continued like that all night long, not good for sleeping. Sink didn’t drain very well after shaving and the body wash ran out before I could finish my shower.

Breakfast was phenomenal and included the most incredible Spanish quiche! The service was friendly and it was wonderful to be able to talk directly with the chef! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

it’s not a hotel you could just walk out and be downtown…the views are beautiful though
