Homewood Suites by Hilton, Durango

Multiple entries to the building were convenient. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, clean and a nice basketball court too. The breakfast eating setup was nice too. The 2 ladies and young gentleman running the breakfast should get a raise.

However, the eating area was too quiet: no music at all feeling lifeless. (In comparison to Hyatt Place or Hilton Garden Inn breakfast areas which have life). The brown, brown, brown paint of both the eating area and lobby felt lifeless too: it desperately needed big living colorful flowers like Mainstreet Durango! Lastly our room #212 refrigerator was super loud and the kitchen smelled like an old meal when we walked in, but the smell went away after we turned on the AC.

Can’t overemphasize how absolutely exceptional the staff is! The staff was incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful. The entire facility was well kept and still looks and feels brand new. The rooms were spacious, well thought out and very clean. Breakfast was great, they changed up the protein (meat) options every morning.

We wish y'all would go back to the Monday-Thursday reception social, it was one of the main reasons we re-booked. However, doing it on just Wednesday was awesome, plus the drink selections were on point and the chili was delicious. Breakfast was delicious! It would be nice if there were more fruit selection and hard boiled eggs.

The location was great and my family all enjoyed the breakfast - wonderful options and very helpful staff. We felt safe and slept well.

We had asked to be near our friends when we booked over 2 months ahead and received a response the same day, saying, "We're happy to let you know that the property has confirmed they can arrange this for you. There will be no extra charge for this request." However, at check in, they said we wouldn't not be near each other (we weren't even on the same floor). Also, when we got to our room, neither key worked, and my husband went to wait in the line again to get the keys fixed. When he came back, one of the keys worked, but we had to go back a 3rd time to get the second key to work. It wasn't he end of the world, but it was a little frustrating.

Staff was great! Breakfast was nice and we got to use both the gym and the pool during our week long stay. We've stayed in a lot of apartment style hotelrooms and this one was the best one so far. Some people have seemed to complain about the beds being hard in reviews but ours was great and during our stay they seemed to be switching a lot of mattresses if not all to the other rooms.

internet connection could be better, I was on vacation so it did't bother me but I work remotely and if I would have had to work the wifi would not been efficient enough for that purpose

Very clean, comfortable suite. The bed was very, very comfortable. Having a large refrigerator in the kitchenette was super convenient and helpful. The breakfast buffet every morning of our stay was outstanding. They served something new/different each morning, and the employees were very courteous, friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was great. Location was ok. The room was quiet, didn't hear outside noise or hallway noise. The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful.

They need to replace the worn sofa. The fact that the hotel couldn't tell us our charges because we left a day earlier and had notified them way in advance because we booked with booking.com. We still don't know and would like that information and credit for the day we did not stay. The fact that they only cleaned once every 4 days. Trash builds up and you run out of shampoo in particular.

it was nice and close to all attractions and activities. Breakfast has been good with the exception of having pulled pork with eggs. Not a real common combination.

the room needs upgrading in the tech area. No usb ports in the lamp bases or on any outlets. Furniture needs the be upgraded as well . shows lots of wear .

Our room was nice and clean. The staff were so kind and always smiling and helpful. The kitchen staff was especially wonderful. They worked so hard each day to keep the breakfast area clean and well stocked. They need a tip jar 😉

There wasn’t anything we disliked.

I was incredibly impressed with how they adapted breakfast under pandemic restrictions. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times even though it was obviously more work on them. The hotel was very nice, very clean, and in the perfect location.

The only thing I can think of that could have been better would be the pillows. They were worn down and probably needed to be replaced. I woke up with a crick in my neck every morning.

The breakfast was fabulous, and I loved the ability to do laundry on site.

I wish our rooms could have been together. 2 of the 3 rooms were at least on the same floor although at opposite ends. The 3rd room was one floor up.
