MainStay Suites Durango

Spotless!! Our suite was clean and fully stocked with anything needed for a longer stay. Plenty of outlets for devices. The linens were good quality and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was good. The young woman breakfast attendant worked constantly to clean, refill coffee, creamers and food items. Easy drive to downtown Durango from hotel.

An observation: the woman at checkin did not say hello, welcome in or offer any information unless asked such as time and location for breakfast. This same attendant did not ask how our stay was at checkout just said put your keys in basket.

1/ the breakfast was very good. Eggs/bacon/sausage. Different juices. Pancakes. Yoghurt…. Etc… 2/ the room was super clean and modern. Really nice. 3/ nice towels 4/ good kitchen with all that is needed. 5/ quiet hotel. 6/ nice location with Walmart and restaurant close by.

1/ the lighting in the room was ok except for the kitchen area that had poor lighting. 2/ not enough tables for the breakfast area. Many people including us had a hard time finding a place to seat. There was a lot of wasted space where they could easily add 3-4 tables. 3/ the tv in the room needs to be larger.

Nice hotel for the value almost new would have scored it higher if our room had not been next door to the noisy fire sprinkler room which sounded like heavy equipment running out side in the parking lot, it even vibrated the couch, this room shouldn't be rented out at all but it a laundry room or something. Other than that a great place to stay and has a good free breakfast, close to shopping and restaurants, would stay here again!

The fact that there was a hot breakfast served was a huge deal as it’s familiar dining in an otherwise unfamiliar town. We will definitely be back… comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of staff was absolutely the reason why we will be revoking in the future at MainStay…. The only thing that did bug me personally a little bit was the fact that every day we had breakfast downstairs in the dining room, there was NO BREAKFAST SAUSAGE …. I love breakfast sausage 🤦🏻‍♂️… the bacon and waffles were delicious…. Keep it all!!! Don’t change it, just add breakfast sausage! 👍🏻 Thank you again!! Loved our stay

The hotel was clean and the staff was great!

The water pressure was really bad. Took forever to get the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. Sometimes the water almost felt like it was going to shut off. I would not stay again only because of this. I expected a full kitchen, but there was not oven. We couldn't make very many dinners due to lack of items to use, like a strainer. Pots and pans were small.

Staff were friendly. It was a Monday night and we had a top floor room that was big and quiet. 5 minute trip into Durango so a quiet area by highway with shops nearby. Durango is beautiful and well worth a visit.

The bed was too firm. Sliding door on the bathroom a pain. Breakfast choices poor unless you want waffles. Water pressure fire in shower.

I loved the room it was clean, very big and spacious it had a couch and desk the bed was very comfortable and clean! The swimming pool was very warm and really nice to swim in the hot tub was great as well! Staff was very friendly and nice

It was a pleasure to stay there. The cleanliness,location and the staff were above expectations. The breakfast was hot and fresh everyday. We were guests there for five days and we plan to stay there again next year.

We had asked for a quiet room at end of hallway and it was great! Very comfortable bed and room. Had a medical issue and was given great guidance to close by hospital. The people at the front desk were always smiling and greeting us in and out of the building.

breakfast was not much. We were there usually during the middle hours offered and it seemed they were understaffed as the one person was scrambling to try to get food out. Even then there was no hot items except a couple of biscuits.

I liked the location, close to walmart & fairly close to downtown. The room was very spacious, we really liked the small kitchen. The hot tub was clean and hot!

The bed was not level, the head was low. We ended turning around and sleeping with our heads where our feet were suppose to be. This seems typical with alot of hotel rooms. They should elevate the head of these beds at least 2"
