Staff was great, room was great, location was great. We simply had to walk across the street from the Amtrak train station, which was awesome considering the weather was cold and snowy. They also have a great restaurant/bar attached to the hotel which was very helpful for the over 2 hour train delay for return back to Denver. Additionally they sell tickets to the hot springs at a discounted rate, and provide towels for the hot springs.

We did have to ask for a different blanket, which they readily supplied. The original blanket was a cheap polyester that didn't even fit the bed. So they supplied us with quilts which were breathable and soft. We also had to ask for more hand towels and wash cloths as we were staying multiple nights and only one of each were in our room.

Mia who worked the front desk was very welcoming and accommodating! We booked 3 nights, but arrived a day late and could only stay 2 nights. They graciously refunded us 1 night and allowed us to check in early. Exceptional customer service. Easy parking which was also affordable and safe. Excellent location. Brewery/ restaurant connected to hotel is wonderful! More importantly, attached coffee shop with great caffeinated options! Last but not least, the rooms were adorable, vintage style leaning into the history of the hotel, great views of the mountains, absolutely loved it. PS- If you are riding the train into town, the train stop is literally across the street!

Wish I could have stayed longer!

This hotel is definitely more in the boutique category. We were given real keys to our room, and the hotel and our room had a lot of very cool old pieces of furniture in it. We LOVED the view from our room. While the bathroom was a little small, it was perfectly serviceable, and the shower was hot and had good pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful! If you are going to the hot springs at all, the hotel will provide pool towels for free, which was great (I didn't expect that!), and even gave us some water bottles to take with us. The building is definitely old and historic, but it has been kept up well and well-maintained, which just gives it more charm. It is within walking distance to a ton of restaurants/shops/train station/river/hot springs, or within easy driving distance. Even though parking was an extra cost per night, it was worth it not to worry about finding street parking, and the lot was around the corner. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we will definitely be booking here again when we return to Glenwood Springs!

This place was tremendous. The room was tops, the location was prime, and the history of the hotel was incredible to be a part of. I’d stay here every time I’m in Glenwood if I could afford it. Very fun to do for a special western themed weekend experience the lore of some of americas most famous western figures. Spent an afternoon at the iron mountain hot springs, and while they’re not the strawberry hotsprings of Steamboat, it was nice to have a discount provided by a partnership with the Denver Hotel. Really neat place.

Nothing. The spot was perfect. Go get a queen boutique and have a wonderful stay.

Room was clean, spacious and quiet. I didn't like that there were no night tables next the bed :( I had to pull one of the chairs to lay my phone, water cup and glasses but then I had to be careful getting up in the middle of the night so as not to hit my legs on the chair :(

For the price tag, this should be something to include. Also bring your own cooler and microwave because there is none in the rooms. Bed was uncomfortable, not a soft bed at all.

Beautifully renovated room with a mix of modern and antique furniture. Great view of river, railway station and mountains. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of many great restaurants. Try The Pullman restaurant which is less than a block from the hotel. There is a small coffee shop within the restaurant that serves excellent coffee and breakfast items. I would love to go back and spend more time.

Hotel Denver is a grand old hotel in downtown Glenwood Springs just across the street from the train station (but no train noise). We arrived by train for a three night getaway and it was a perfect choice. We had a lovely pet-free king room on the 4th floor. Hardwood floors, lots of light, comfortable bed, large wall-mounted TV. The hotel has an adjacent brew pub and a coffee shop with pastries & breakfast burritos. And just a block or two away are lots of wonderful restaurants (notable are Sacred Grounds for coffee & a limited breakfast menu & great sandwiches; The Riviera for the best dinner we’ve had in years; and Smoke for delicious barbecue). It was a short walk from the hotel over the pedestrian bridge to the hot springs pools. The hotel will lend you a towel and there are locker rooms at the springs. It was a fun experience until we had to get out of the steaming water on an 11 degree day! But not bad enough to deter us from going back to the hot springs the next day.

Nothing.

The room was smallish but adequate, with a view of a sidestreet in the downtown area. Location was excellent, directly across from train station & 1-2 blocks from much of downtown. Glenwood Hot Springs was just across the river on a walkway. Staff was helpful when I needed a USB charger cable. There was a restaurant/brew pub right next door. Food was good, beer not so much. (PS After last call, the correct answer to get a drink is "charge it to my room.")

Room was expensive on an absolute basis, but not so much relative to other options in the area (of which there are many).

We came to glenwood to celebrate our 13th anniversary we started off at a hotel across the street but was totally disgusting you would think $800 a night would be a great experience not the case. So we bailed and went to hotel Denver instead, we are so so glad we did it was fantastic weekend after that it’s super close to a bunch of shops and restaurants really close no need to drive anywhere we will only stay here every time we go to Glenwood.

The only thing that would have been better is if we would have stayed here from the start!!

Hotel location is great - lots of restaurants and shopping close by and the hot springs are just across the pedestrian bridge. Nice, spacious room. It was great to have the brewery downstairs. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Loved the bonus of having *REAL* keys to open the doors.

Our windows faced the interior of the building there were no blackout shades. It wasn't bright but I found it difficult to sleep with the ambient light coming in. The beds were very firm and uncomfortable for us. The walls were thin enough to hear the conversation of women in the room next to us.
