SpringHill Suites by Marriott Amelia Island

Was surprised about the 15.00/day parking. I booked 2 rooms so that was an additional $30.00/day to park.

Excellent buffet-style breakfast included with hotel stay. Professional and accommodating hotel staff for all services including check-in, housekeeping, facilities management, and food & beverage. Absolutely beautiful property and location!

Unfortunately, the only thing that could have been better was the expectations of other guests. Many of the guests had expectations of a Ritz-Carlton property or they did not understand the technology of the property which is excellent. The staff did everything they could patiently to assist those guests. I worked my way through college in a Hilton Hotel on the Beach and am now in IT Project Management. Unfortunately, you cannot set expectations or teach technology to those unwilling to understand or learn.

We really liked the location and the facilities. The pool is very nice and large. Breakfast was great and the hotel was very clean. We felt comfortable and very safe the whole time. Loved seeing that the families having such a good time at the hotel.

Lack of knowledge and no communication at the pool bar. Running out food and not communicating with guest. Offering Starbucks is wonderful, whoever not all the teamembers are train to be barista so they will turn you away.

I'm sure there is much I would have liked. That is if I would have stayed there. I could not, due to traveling issues. I have made previous contact regarding this problem.

I'm sure I would have loved it if booking.com was not involved. They told me you would not let me cancel for free. Even after you told me you had no problem cancelling for free. Then I got the charge on my bank statement from booking.com. I also received an email stating you would not cancel for free. Kinda ticked me off and now I'm just thinking, it's the principle of the matter. I knew I was taking a chance but I never thought booking.com we cowards. Thanks for listening. Barb

the gym! Got a great workout 3 days. The location of the hotel wasn't bad either.

The Hotel was not prepared for all of the guests this past weekend. Kept running out of breakfast items, not enough healthy choices. people saving pool chairs with towels as early as 6am and being able to hear people talking from other rooms from the bathroom and the feeling of being rushed because of the (breakfast times) was horrible. The eggs were always cold, no bacon was available, they kept running out of coffee. Needless to say, it made a lasting impression. Also for the price paid for the room, the better internet should have been included along with parking. To charge extra for these items was a shame.

The room was huge and had the most comfortable bed. The pool area had plenty of chairs and a nice bar area. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious. The beach was a short walk from the hotel and there was a park to walk the dogs in. There are two restaurants within a 25 mins walk from the property and the food was outstanding.

The area to walk the dogs on the hotel property was small and the stairs could only be used in emergencies. There were only 2 elevators in the main lobby area which resulted in us having to wait a bit during the busy times if we had out pups with us.

This hotel is brand new. It has a fab pool with a poolside bar and plenty of loungers. The room was really comfortable, large and well-appointed. The hotel was a couple of minutes from the beach and an easy walk to some great beach-side grills.

A minor gripe - at breakfast, every single plate, cup and piece of cutlery was made of plastic, so bins were overflowing. It felt really unnecessarily wasteful - what's all that about in 2023! Sort it out Marriott.

People are sneaking into the pool that are not guests. A person that was not staying there came and sat next to us . She tried to sell my wife a book and then lit up a cigarette. We were very pleased to see the manager come over and escort her out. Evidently she was from Comfort inn because we heard her say . "They are making me go back to the Comfort inn" She told us that she wanted to see how the "White People Live". Very insulting.

Very comfortable stay. The suite was very well done. The breakfast was about average but convenient. Good location, beautiful weather. Did not like paying extra for parking considering the cost of the room. It appears our card may have been charged twice for the stay. Will follow up with credit card company to clarify. Would recommend this Springhill to anyone visiting Amelia Island.

As mentioned, did not like paying extra for parking. Did not have time to enjoy the pool.

Nice breakfast, pleasant staff, young man who checked us in was very kind and cheerful and helpful. Beach close by.

I don't think COVID is a good excuse for not taking care of the room, beds, bath, and trash, and vacuum at least every other day. I could have stayed at a less expensive place, give a discount if you don't provide the service. Masks and gloves and other precautions are appropriate for staff if they are in a room. No staff anywhere in the building were wearing mask or gloves or anything so what is the issue that you can't provide these services. Parking was very limited.
