The Surf Beach Motel

Great location just across the street and short walk to the beach. Good hotel for the independent traveler that doesn't need a lot of guest service attention. Keyless entry so no lobby area for check-in makes it convenient for arrival times. Bar and Grill had really good food and friendly/helpful staff. Nightly entertainment except on Tues when closed and Wed night. All ground level rooms which is nice for unloading or people with disabilities. Would definitely recommend!

The A/C in the room did not work very well and was dirty had to clean it with a wipe. Also the remote for the tv was gross had to clean that also.

This place is excellent! The room was very clean and well maintained! It’s just steps away from the beach! Has restaurant/bar on site that is very reasonably priced and the food and drink are outstanding! The staff are all very friendly and helpful! I have already booked 2 more trips to stay at this motel for 2024! You will not be disappointed and it’s very affordable! They have a 3 bedroom suite with 3 queen beds, full living room, kitchen and dining room that would be perfect for a family stay! Although I didn’t use it I did inquire about it and the rates for it are extremely affordable for a family stay!

No dislikes at ALL

The room was spacious and clean when we got there. The bed was comfortable. It was good to have a fridge/freezer and a microwave in the room, as well a coffee maker. We ate 2 times in the restaurant and the food was very good. The location is wonderful, very close to the beach.

The bathroom looks new and clean, but there was not much water in the shower. The room was not cleaned every day and you should not expect a hotel service. If you don't make your bed, you will find it the same way when you return. The towels were changed when they were thrown on the floor. The garbage was not collected daily. There are not beach towels. Take your own.

We loved the convenience of the beach access right across the street! Our room was cozy and spacious enough for the 2 of us. Loved having a restaurant and tiki bar just steps away! Live music at night was a plus also!

- We wished there was another mirror in our room besides the small one in the bathroom. Not a big deal at all but would have made it easier for 2 girls getting ready! - Consider traveling with your own bathroom towels. The towels in our room left little fibers all over us after showering and made putting on lotion difficult -We would have liked if there were multiple locks on the door. Again, not a huge deal because we did feel very safe here! But as 2 girls traveling alone, the extra precaution would have been nice

I loved the location, just a quick walk to the beach. The staff was fantastic and didn't mind helping you when needed and made you feel welcome. The food is delicious. I will definitely stay here again. The Surf is budget friendly and just a great place to stay.

I can not think of nothing I didn't like. The walkways to the back entrance had an incline but was no problem. A couple of towels had stains. These dislikes are so minor. I will still stay here again. The Surf Beach Motel and Restaurant is my new favorite place to stay.

This was a Very cute and clean beachside motel. Everything was perfect from the decor all the way to the gigantic shower. The air conditioner blew strong and cold, the staff was super easy to work with and the on site restaurant was such a nice perk. We will definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is I would've liked to see some form of door lock aside from the built in digital locking keypad (which included a manual lock on the inside of the door.) I think a great addition to these rooms would be those locks you see at the top of the doors in most hotel rooms.

Great location to the beach, restaurants, and stores.

We have a service dog-Not an emotional support dog. He has a medical job that he performs. We have stayed here 3 times before with him. This time we were told that dogs are not allowed. I explained to the check-in manager that he is a service dog and ADA guidelines states that he must be allowed. The manager mumbled something about Florida hotels don't need to follow this law. After much debate, he told us ok this time but never again!!!!! A very nasty employee that doesn't know the law. Pretty much soared us on this place. Too bad it was one of our favorites.

The staff here are super friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. Nice space overall; you can tell the owners are making an effort to make it welcoming and appealing. The air conditioner was blasting on days of record heat and holding its own!

It could use a few touch-ups, but really, overall a pleasant place. Maybe install a shower head with a hose since it is so close to the beach and very likely to have sand that needs to be washed away?

The room was cute and comfy. We have never stayed in a motel before it had always been resorts. And we were pleasantly surprised. The bottle of champagne was so special...the restaurant had the best food. Everyone was so pleasant and happy. Being really close to the beach was awesome. We would love to come back, and plan to share this location with family and friends. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

I love that it’s right across the street from the beach. They have an on-site restaurant and bar with live music. It shut down early enough that we had a wonderful nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The room have been freshly painted with cute decor as well. Now if your looking for USB ports and all the modern bells and whistles this isn’t for you. To it was completely lovely, perfect place for me!

What’s not to like?? You’re at the beach!
