Beachside Motel - Amelia Island

This is literally as close as you could possibly be to the beach—just over the dune on a well-maintained walkway. There is a well-maintained small pool with ocean views and small patio area adjacent to it, both perfectly positioned for watching the sunrise or sunset or just enjoying the sounds of the waves. The staff—from cleaners to front desk attendants—could not be lovelier.

The beds in my room were a bit harder than I prefer, and the toilet/tub area a bit cramped, but everything was up-to-date and clean. I was traveling with my dog and sometimes pet-friendly rooms are a bit rundown but this was as nice as the others, from what I could tell.

We loved our stay here! the staff were so nice and welcoming! The room was updated and clean. Very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There was coffee and granola bars etc in the check in for a quick bite before we walked down the private access to the beach. Our last day they also gave us later check out of 1130 so we could shower ourselves and the kids after coming off the beach that morning and heading home. We will be back!

The pool was closed for maintenance. The pool was one reason I picked this property for my kids. Suggest update the website to reflect maintenance. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay!

The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked that the floor was not carpet. I was celebrating my birthday and entered the room to celebratory cupcakes---nice touch. Staff in the office was super friendly. Beach access was nice. The room was very quiet except when the trash truck came.

Not sure why but the room was canceled by booking.com. I got a your room has been canceled email so I had to rebook. The hotel says it has it had happened before. Phone goes to a real estate company so you have to ask for the hotel.

Close to the beach & had a pool (not heated) - the hotel provided towels for beach and pool which was really nice. Had a nice mat to walk out to the beach. The person checking us in (Cami) was awesome. Gave us a nice overview of the area and lots of good recommendations for eating and activities.

#1 The mattresses on the beds needed to be replaced. They squeak and were not very comfortable. #2 Twice we encountered people who parked in the lot to use the beach access, but they weren't staying there. One was a lady during the day although she wasn't much trouble. However, in the evening there were 3 cars of teenagers who were using beach access, playing loud music and running all around the parking lot till about 9 pm. They were not guests of anyone nor were they staying there.

Right next to the beach; a few of their rooms look right out onto the beach. Great for watching the sunrise. We saw at least one restaurant within walking distance. Drive to historical downtown area. Pleasant staff. Coffee available in the reception. This is a pleasant, no-frills motel--- it is not for those who want fancy, shiny and new.

Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Location for the beach was very good. Short drive to the city.

Breakfast was a joke (pre wrapped junk food). Coffee pot in my room leaked water so I didn’t use it. Reported it to front desk on the second day. Never used it. Reported it again at check out. Wife killed two roaches in the room.

Just steps from the beach. Near many hiking trails, kayaking, historic sites, restaurant and downtown Fernandina Beach, Daily housekeeping service was a nice bonus, since most hotels/motels seem to only do housekeeping once a week or if/when asked to do so.

The soda vending machine ran out of Diet Coke. Oh, well...

location location location - wow Really enjoyed staying here, such a small little boutique motel with private access to the beach, all that was missing was a Jacuzzi for the cold night (yes we are from south Miami so we get cold quickly) but what a beautiful motel and location.

nothing really to not like here. I wish it was closer to home! It is a motel and you pay for what you get. but read the likes and see its worth it. The size of the room was ok. Water pressure in the shower could be better but that's it. beds were comfortable too.

The room was VERY clean. It is absolutely the cleanest MOTEL that I've ever stayed in. The property is older but the rooms have been updated. It's an easy walk to get out to the beach. There's a restaurant right across the street with lots of outdoor seating.

The restaurant across the street turned out to be the only thing within walking distance. That was really the only negative.
