when we first checked in, they couldn’t find my last name which took about 15 minutes to resolve it. then when we went up to the room, the keys were not properly activated. i went downstairs to reset the keys, when we opened the door this time, there were luggages and someone’s belongings in the room. it is an occupied room that were wrongly assigned to us. the staff in front desk felt bad and gave us a new room with higher floor. also gave us extra Marriott points as accommodation. however the room doesn’t have shampoo and insufficient body wash. so we are not sure if the housekeeping team checked the room’s supplies after the clean from last guest.

We loved the breakfast every morning.

We had a horrible experience with one of the ladies that does breakfast. Her name was Laura Lee. My 4 year old dropped a couple pieces of eggs and I didn’t even get a chance to pick them up (was holding my plate and 1 year old) and she huffed and puffed and roughly grabbed a napkin and yanked them up and gave us an evil stare. The whole rest of the week that we had breakfast we felt we had to tip toe around because we were harassed my her following us around and watching our every move.

I'm very critical of hotels when I stay. I notice all the details of my surroundings. This hotel was wonderful. I was very pleased. The room was clean, well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool on the roof with the attached restaurant was awesome. We booked a room with a water view and so glad we did. The views were great. We would definitely stay here again!

Only problem we had was the 25 min wait past check in time but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't like the walk from the parking garage to the hotel. It's about half a block away. And I would suggest adding some shade to the pool area. Gets pretty hot up on the patio in the summer.

A beautiful view, located in a very calm area, and a few minutes away is one of the most beautiful beaches in Tampa.

Maybe a couple of things I didn't like was the small pool and salt water. In addition, I made the reservation by booking and a value is adjusted and in the end the hotel charges a deposit of $40 that was not in the agreement. As I see that because of the cleaning that was not done

During Covid times the breakfast was somewhat limited. Staff was super! Just very limited, not enough fruit or choices.

Breakfast needs mores choices, and outside grounds needs more attention in the mornings. The bar upstairs has an over flow of trash, glasses and broken glass some mornings and a odd smell also.

The location was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

Instead of an actual door, the bathroom has a sliding frosted glass for a door, directly opposite from the beds. So, each time you use it during the night, the light shines through and wakes the other person. No privacy. Parking is a good hike away.

The place is pretty and well kept. Our room was clean and modern and very comfortable. Restaurants on the first floor and on the roof were great. The view from the rooftop restaurant and bar along with the rooftop pool make this place awesome.

The only thing that was a little disappointing was the parking. The lot is a block (little less) across the street and had a few junkies sleeping on the sidewalk. I didn’t feel safe. An included valet service would fix that.

Great location - loved the layout of the room. The pullout bed was really comfortable and easy to tuck away when we wanted to entertain or create more room.

$400 is steep for a hotel night. I expected the room to be a little bit bigger for the price. Also the view of the riverfront was a small sliver. The way it was advertised, I expected the entire window view to be overlooking the river.

Location

The west door to the upper deck restaurant is locked for the hotel guest access. Totally ignored by the restaurant staff forcing you to go down all the way to the east side elevator. The bar staff seems reluctant to serve the guests on the pool side. The pool area should have parasols.

The location was perfect! The staff, attached restaurant, room and view from balcony were exceptional! This place was perfect for our 40th anniversary celebration. It is within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The Riverwalk is also very close. I felt very safe.

That we didn't stay longer.
