Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida

Wow.. first time staying at this hotel to get my son off to college at UF. You are required to valet and even though they were extremely busy, they were super friendly and efficient. The rooms were enormous,beautiful and clean. My room looked out over the pond and there were windows the entire length. Enormous and well stocked bathroom. Beds, pillows, and an awesome side lounge type chair were all amazingly comfortable. Loved this hotel and so glad I stayed here. Will be back for the football games!

Required valet.. it’s not convenient when you need to retrieve items from car or suitcase. Restaurant was ok.. the bartender charged me $16 for a gin gimlet, I gave him a $20 and he just “forgot” to give me change.. I had to ask him for that back. Not leaving a $4 tip on an already expensive cocktail. No pool, no exercise room.. but those are the only negatives

Layout of room was unique, view beautiful, angled walk to room nice only I got lost and went wrong way to leave after my stay, ended up in the employees area, but a very nice employee walked me to the right place. Excellent service. Got a free toothbrush, as I forgot mine. And bottle water leaving. They made sure I had a quiet room and it was for the most part.

No parking, felt trapped and forgot stuff abd had to get everything right then. Was not told that at booking by company I booked through. Not sure but rental car may had been damaged where parked or by valet. Seems two new scratches were there or I didn't notice them before. I hate the decorations in the room.and design is okay. I thought the bathroom light didn't work.for 10 minutes I should have been told there is a main switch to turn on lights.

I love that there was complimentary valet parking. There is a restaurant on location. The food was delicious. Although a bit noisy of an environment for my preferences. I was up there for some medical testing so I was a bit on edge to begin with. The staff was very accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower was large and inviting. Everything I needed was available to me. There is no swimming pool or hot tub which would have given it a 10 plus plus score

The only thing I would say that I didn't enjoy was the noisy diners in the restaurant. Since I was there for a medical procedure, I wasn't extremely relaxed. So any noise to me was too much noise. The diners were having fun so I was happy to see that. Normally noise wouldn't bother me. With that said the experience was still fantastic. The staff that served us was great. The food was delicious. The prices are a bit on the high side but nothing that I didn't already expect

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the walk-in shower was a nice fit for me, considering I have bad knees and did not need to put my legs over or worry about slipping.

I had a love, hate relationship with the valet only parking. Though it could be a nice amenity, it was a bit inconvenient for us being on an already early time schedule. The valet employees were extremely friendly and professional and worked as quickly as possible to retrieve vehicles.

Hotel was beautiful and looked just like its picture. The room was spacious and had 2 tvs. Bathroom was large and had beautiful of the grounds.

Hotel is like near the hospital. There is no self parking you have to use valet. They dont charge you per say but you feel bad asking someone to get your car more than once a day. No food places around only fast food. Was in town for track meet. By the description I would have thought the hotel was closer to College.

Scenic lake view, with windows the entire length of the room made the space seem huge. Fast elevators, super friendly staff, downstairs bar. Beautifully landscaped walking paths around the property and nearby buildings.

We were a little baffled at first by the in-room Nespresso machine, regular coffeemaker would have been sufficient. Only parking option is complimentary valet but attendants were very fast and accommodating.

We always stay here. We love the amenities and the bed is extremely comfortable. It is very luxurious. The restaurant has great food.

I had to wait about 15 minutes to check out because the agent was helping a customer on the phone make a reservation. She should have put the customer making a reservation on hold and attended the customers physically present. I was late to an event.

We stay at Eleo every time we come to Gainesville to visit our UF daughter. We love the hotel, the location, and Covey Kitchen & Cocktails. The only downside is there is sometimes a long wait for valet. It would be wonderful to have a self-park option.

Long wait for valet. Also, the hotel was booked completely so we were given an ADA accessible room. This was fine but the shower handle did not stay in place when the water was on so we had to hold it for showering. I did let the front desk know and they were very appreciative of the information and stated they would have maintenance look at it.

Didn’t have breakfast but lunch and dinner excellent.

I was not aware of this until checking in and then it was too late for the first 4 day stay and then it was too late. Some check in staff seemed to need more training. Did manage to get it for the 2 day second check in. Instructions on how to work the espresso machine would have been helpful.
