Onyx Hotel Miami Airport

We were able to check-in early (for an additional fee) and got some much needed sleep in a comfortable bed. There was a Subway just a few blocks away and we enjoyed a nice dinner at Old Tom's Pub (across the street from the hotel.)

Easy to get to and close to the airport

Beds were a bit lumpy- I prefer firmer mattresses. Breakfast was ok- meat, eggs, choice of the same 3 cereals, white bread and bagels with a toaster. Eggs were pretty salty. Biggest feedback: the hotel needs better pictures. The view from Google maps shows a wall separating the parking lot from the next door IHOP, and the photo you see above is forced perspective. Yes, there’s parking, and it’s very easy to get to from 36th street. You just wouldn’t know any of that from the photos.

Close to airport, reasonably priced and shuttle to the port the next morning.

The Room = Is o.k. It did had a mild mold smell when you entered, but I bought a candle and this helped with this issue. The bed was clean and everything is o.k. The breakfast = Everyday you have a different breakfast. Everyday there's oatmeal, yogurt, milk, coffee. You can get Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Bagel and Bread. The breakfast is o.k. At the end, you get what you paid for. This is not a relaxing hotel. It's more of coming in do whatever you have to during the day and come back to your room to sleep.

Airport shuttle was good. I messaged the hotel about it a few days before my stay and then promptly sent instructions. called them using free WiFi and Skype from airport. They arrived after around 20 mins. I arranged a 5 am shuttle to airport next morning and everything went smoothly. The hotel room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Aircon keeps it cool in summer. Good coffee machine and complementary coffee.

It was good value overall. Three star room and two star corridors. But it isn't a problem. Thank you Onyx

We loved the spaciousness of the bedroom and bath. The sheets were clean and the bed very comfortable

ommunication was not good. I waited at the airport for two hours on the shuttle. I called the number listed in an email to me, and no one responded. After taking a blue taxi and relating my experience to the person at the front desk, she said the number that I was calling was the fax number. But I was using the number referenced to me in the email so you may have to change that. That long wait almost ruined our experience

The front desk was very nice and helpful! I was without a room for a day due to cancelation and everything was overbooked even though I booked early. It was a terrible day and she made it awesome. Her name starts with a J. She was very friendly and helped us a lot and was nice to keep us in the lobby and provide us with water. She deserves a recognition.

The location to the Airport was great.the staff were accommodating. Breakfast was basic but good and plentiful. I would highly recommend for an overnight stopover.

The airport shuttle that was included was apparently broken down, so we had to arrange our own transport, with very little notice, an expense we hadn't planned for. Not a great start to our holiday.

It surprised me that there was buffet style breakfast included! Bed is very big and comfortable, room was very spacious and equipped. Security deposit is very low. They had shuttles for the airport or Miami port.

There was not toilet paper, but at least they had soft paper tissues. You couldn't close the shutters completely. There was not remote control for the A/C. They take take too long to reimburse the security deposit. Shuttles for the airport are not 24/7.

Our flight out of Miami was very early in the morning, so we had to book to a hotel near the Airport. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, check in and out very quick, the room was clean and refreshing :) and the bed comfortable. They have breakfast in the morning, but we did not try it. This hotel is like 7 min drive to the airport. They do have shuttle services from 5.30 in the morning, but we needed a ride at 4.00 am. We took an Uber instead and the ride was only $7.69

Everything was ok. We were happy with all services and the staff.
