Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami

Ming was very helpful showed us how to get around and his so friendly it was great interacting with him. Alex was super helpful planned my surprise 50th with my husband attanged a lovely cake for me with the front desk teams help. Thanks Alex for everything! My booking wasn't showing on their system even though I had confirmation and the first mights payment was already taken. Doreen and her manager were very friendly and helped get my reservation sorted out. It's a lovely hotel with great staff members and central to many areas.

The housekeeping was very slow even though I called everyday in advance for my room to be cleaned when we got to our room it wasn't clean and had to keep calling the front desk for faster assistance.

Had read on some negative reviews that rooms were small. Not so, we had a longish stay and felt rooms were superior to others we have stayed at in same location. Beach access a plus and pool area really pleasant with good exposure to sun. Partnering with local gym to give access a real plus if one likes to keep active on trip away. Yes a few mins walk away but well worth it to have access to good gym equipment.

Wifi was a little iffy but staff always seems to engage with their provider to try to improve situation, often to good effect. Hotel lacks real bar or relaxing sit down area, all in one area of reception/bar/breakfast area is functional but not an attraction for those seeking relaxed, comfort for down time. However, if happy to relax in room or by pool, then this will not detract from stay.

From the doorman to the receptionist to the restaurant service staff, their service was excellent. Each knew how to handle a busy and frazzled customer in a friendly and professional manner, making my whole stay very pleasant. The icing on the cake was when my ride to the airport did not appear at 5:30am, Frantz at the reception was so helpful. He not only managed to get me on an Uber in time, he also communicated with the original ride company and gave me the email to contact to request for a refund. I would definitely stay there again.

The personnel was amazingly kind, gentle and helpful.

I arrived at 6:10 am and the hotel was closed. There was a message saying that I should call a number and they would come to open the door. I called from 6:15-7:00 with no luck. It was quite troublesome to wait 1 hour at the door after an 8:00 hs flight. Once I got in, the personnel was very kind and they allowed me to do an early check-in with discounted price. In any case, I think there should be other ways to get into the hotel.

The Hyatt Centric is perfectly located and a very short distance to Lincoln Road Mall, Ocean Drive, Espanola Way etc. We stayed in the Deluxe King Room with ocean view that also had a great city view!!! The VIEW was amazing!!! The rooms were extremely clean. The staff was very welcoming, accommodating and service was TOP TIER from the time we arrived off the elevator till we checked out. Everyone greeted with a sincere smile and was very polite. As a Customer Experience Consultant, I can honestly say that the customer experience far exceeded my expectations. Ming, was attentive to not only the staff but he interacted with every customer and made every encounter memorable.

Location is great for south beach tourism, you could take out free bikes for the day, staff is really nice, and pool beds and area are very comfortable.

Very little lighting in the room. The Ocean View rooms are very partial view, you can barely see the ocean. And hotel is not really beachfront, you have to walk through one street and thet have an arrangement we can use the area of a different hotel, Lowes. And the

The location is perfect. Right across from the south beach, also having access to the Loews Hotel beach chairs and gym!

No balcony, the pool area was dirty and not really kept after by the staff even when not busy (there were cans and bottles in the pool)

Nice location at the center of South Beach. Plus point for the private beach! The rooftop pool is kinda small but worthy visiting too.

The room was relatively smaller than the pictures, but considering the location and amenities it is acceptable.

The location is great. Near to the walking area of Miami Beach with a lot of restaurants and stores. I stayed in a room in the 10th floor with a fantastic view.

If I had to make a suggestion would be to pay more attention on the cleanliness. The bathroom was full of long blond hair Note: I do not have long, nor even blond hair :)

The room was nice and bed was comfy. Loved the city view! The bartender Robert was really nice and very approachable. The gentleman at the front desk(not sure of his name, but he's a Fl Gators fan) was really nice as well. The other 2 ladies at the front desk were very pleasant as well. Great location to pretty much everything!!

I didn't like that the pool closed early at 8p and at other hotels nearby they were still swimming after 9. There wasn't a microwave in the room or even downstairs in the lobby to use. The ice buckets are small and you have to go to the lobby and ask someone to get ice for you. The bathroom was nice just wished the sliding door closed all the way(or was an actual door) and weren't so loud when opening or closing and that the lights were a little brighter or more of them(in bathroom and in the bedroom). We could hear the guest next door everytime they opened or closed there sliding door. Last thing, what's the point of a refrigerator if it doesn't really get cold, just needed like 2 degrees colder?!
