The Meridian Hotel Miami Beach

I thought the staff were excellent, particularly the two girls at reception who greeted and made us feel very welcome. Likewise the bar staff whom we chatted to over a coffee in the morning. The location was perfect and we were able to pull our car up and unload with ease. Nicely refurbished bedroom. We booked two nights but had to change our arrangements at short notice and curtail our visit to just the one night. The hotel was very accommodating in providing us with a credit note valid for 18 months for the full value of the second night and for the pre-paid parking which we will most definitely make use of next year. Excellent customer service. The hotel was recommended to me by my daughter who stayed there two years ago. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

This was a lovely hotel. If I had to be super critical, the thermometer in the bedroom appeared to prevent the aircon system from exceeding 72°. This was an unusually cold spell in Miami and I would have preferred to have had more flexibility in control of the temperature. Nevertheless I thought the hotel was superb.

Very nice hotel - nice interior design with some caracter. Rooms of good size. One thing to know is that the hotel is right next to a very popular bar so it gets very noisy at night during weekend. Best is to ask for a room facing the street on the 3rd or 4th floor. We changed ourselves and ended up happy with the move so that we even booked an extra night! the staff is friendly and helpful. They let you use the beach facility (and the pool if you want) + the bikes for free even if you have already checked out. The parking is 30$ per day (if not mistaken out of memory) but it is a good price for Miami

Nothing really once we moved from a noisy room on the 1st floor next to the bar up to 3rd floor on the street...

The Hotel is perfectly located in South Beach, in a nice and quiet street, a little bit further from the craziness of Ocean Drive. The room on the third floor was nice, and quiet even if there is a bar downstairs (which is very nice). The pool is small but very pleasant. The staff is very responsive and professional. We love using the bikes every day to go to the beach. The hotel has a deal with a beach management company which provides nice beach chairs (umbrella is not included). Would definitely recommend for a stay at Southbeach!

Nothing major really

The hotel looks very nice with a modern-hipster look. The room was big and also had a modern look with a nice and spacious bathroom. The king bed was very comfortable. It's nice that there is a coffee shop open during the day and a small bar during the night. The location is perfect, just 10 mins walk from the beach, 5 mins from a CVS. Eric, the front desk manager, was professional and helpful: there had been a delay in the room preparation at our arrival and we had to wait half hour longer to check in, so he offered a free room upgrade and a voucher for 2 free drinks at the hotel bar.

The pool is really tiny. The coffee machine in the room had mold in the water tank so that we were not able to use it for the free coffee they provided. This was really bad and should be checked carefully in every room. Room service is only on request and by 12 pm, so if you sleep longer or you forget, you do not receive any room service for the day and that's too risky on a vacation destination like Miami. Room had a nice balcony, but it was literally 7 ft away from the people lying at the pool, making it unusable during the day.

Location was excellent blocks away from beach and ocean strip, staff was friendly, room was very clean. Good atmosphere overall. Small bar on premises open late hours to socialize.

Most of the staff didn't speak fluent English made it hard to communicate however they did their best to. Small ants around the bathroom sink. They sprayed but it didn't help they kept showing up. Balcony was very small not alot of room to sit and it faced an noisy alleyway. Valet parking wasn't on premises you had to wait 20 to 30 mins to get your car.

I am coming to Miami frequently, and have stayed at the Meridian several times now already. You can choose from a variety of room classes. You will never be disapointed. Romms are nice, clean and well airconditioned. The cherry on the top is the bar "Minibar" where also locals hang out. Live DJ almost every night, small, cool, cousy. Allways the first and last drink when going out, if we actually menage to leave :-)

The only downside this time was, that I have missed Luis food. This made always made the experience and convenience complete. This is why it's missing a star at service!

The overall vibe and decor of the place is very chill - I have stayed here many times and it always relaxes me. The inner outdoor courtyard to sit and eat or work is very cozy, warm yet still shady.

The pool could be heated

We had issues with our AC but Jake was able to move and upgrade us to a new suite at no cost. Super helpful and made it a great stay!!

Staff were excellent and very helpful especially Leyla and Luiz. Central location on a busy street but well insulated and heard very little traffic noise. Housekeeping on request so you are not bothered by Housekeeping staff all day trying to get in to clean. However on request, Housekeeping services were very efficient and rooms are serviced to a high standard. The hotel is centrally located and near major beaches and all of the fun of South Beach.

Wood floors. A bit noisy if guests in the room above.
