Beacon South Beach Hotel

The location at the center of Ocean Drive is incomparable. Our room was oceanfront on the fourth floor. Stunning views of the sunrise. The beach is a few steps away. Within walking distance, there were many restaurants and a couple of clubs with beautiful shows, music, and food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We love to go there again.

Ocean Drive is always noisy, with music in the late night hours and cleaning the street in the early morning. But I wouldn't trade the oceanfront room for a backyard quiet room. You can't have both worlds at the same time.

location was excellent, didn't need a car. everything in walking distance/staff was excellent especially Veronica and Francisco went over and beyond expectations. They were good about cleaning our room each day

I didn't like the smell of the hallway and the closet in our room, smelled old and musty. We didn't unpack nor put anything in the closet. Also was disappointed booking.com told us we would have a view that didn't happen then was supposed to have a garden view which consisted of plants on the outside of the window that were dried and dead. I wasn't disappointed at the hotel but booking.com. I feel they need to visit these properties and see for themselves what they offer and look like before selling them. It's very frustrating to pay a lump sum of money to not get what you're thinking you are going to get.

The staff was very helpful and the hotel smelled really clean. In the past when I have stayed in hotels that have operated for many years, there is always a mildewy smell… not the case at The Beacon. Our room was quiet and spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was very tasty. I would stay here again.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that cars are no longer allowed on Ocean Dr. So our taxi had to leave us around the corner and we had to walk to the hotel with our big luggage. Definitely not the hotel’s fault, as this is out of their control. This situation affects all the hotels in the area. We arrived late on a Wednesday night, near 10 pm, and at that time there was no personnel to help us move our luggage. If you’re planning to arrive earlier than that just call the hotel and they’ll meet you where your taxi/car is to help you transport your luggage to the hotel.

Great location. Staff were fantastic. Fitness centre was good. Free coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Room was lovely.

Breakfast being served at 9am is too late. also the breakfast itself was very disappointing, was expecting more for the price.

LOCATION!! — Amazing location across from a clean beautiful beach— they provide beach chairs and towels — so nice! Santiago the attendee was always around and SO helpful and sweet!

While comfy - the beds had a rather unfortunate squeaking sound when just getting on them or tossing and turning in the night

I liked how close it is to the beach and the convienience of the CVS right next door to pick up last minute items. The lobby was clean and had stylish decor. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, and Julio was very helpful arranging an early morning taxi to the airport. We also appreciated the use of the beach towels and beach chairs provided by the hotel. It had everything we needed for a short stay to enjoy Miami south beach.

The glass bathroom door was a bit odd especially sharing the room with another couple.

In an unbelievable location, right in the heart of Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, the Beach South Beach Hotel is one of the historic Art Deco buildings that appears in souvenirs and postcards. The hotel looks a little dated but that matters absolutely nothing at all once you take in consideration how inexpensive it is, the WONDERFUL staff (Sena, this is especially for you! YOU ROCK! all others too, of course!), their local restaurant recommendations, the British-like breakfast included, the free bikes you can use whenever you want, the lobby where we can rest in the AC to get away from the heat and humidity in the street... everything, absolutely everything is just spot on. If I return to Miami Beach this is definitely where I'm staying!

Nothing, absolutely nothing. It was just perfect! Loved it to bits!

First room #401 did NOT MEET expectations. NO WATER, closet, hangers, hair dryer etc. Obviously NOT inspected nor occupied prior to our arrival. QUICK trip to the front desk rectified the issue. We were then moved up to the next floor to room #501 which was as it should have been initially. Why they would even THINK that that room is acceptable does not make sense. Since the move, everything was Exceptional. It was ALL about LOCATION .View from room, beach directly across the street and Starbucks Coffee brewing station for early birds to make the beach walk even better.

The fact that the first room was a Disaster!

Great location on the beach. There are many restaurants close by. The staff was super friendly! Everyone was very upbeat and happy to see you. I liked the whole vibe they have going on. Wished I could stay longer. And the soap smelled so amazing I had to go home and buy some for myself!

The parking was around the corner and down the block, so not super fun lugging suitcases around, but it wasn't too bad. We arrived during the dinner hour so it was super busy.

Hidden gem on the beach! Would definitely return. Excellent service! Very clean. Across from the beach. Central location. Hotel provides beach chairs and towels. Electric bikes on the premises. Hot breakfast included either indoors or outdoors watching the activities. Starbucks coffee is complimentary. Very Comfortable beds. For people with mobility issues, please check to ensure the elevator is working. Incredibly attentive staff!

No parking on site, but valet very close by.
