Residence Inn by Marriott Near Universal Orlando

The staff was pleasant, and the room was great. Just what we needed. The location is awesome, just go across the street to Universal. Breakfast was a nice selection, I enjoyed yogurt with granola. Wish they had bananas! Hint Hint. Will definitely stay there again.

There isn't much I didn't like, I would say the toaster was old and falling apart and a piece of the lamp by my side of the bed was coming off. I hope they do not charge me for those things because they were absolutely like that when we arrived.

Breakfast was very good although I would say it is your traditional continental breakfast but done well. The self made waffles were great once you got the technique down. I think it might be nostalgia but the chocolate milk was good the school lunch type.

Carpet hallways had stains and smelled weird in the hallway. The water pressure in the rooms was week and drain didn't work properly in sink. The pullout couch wasn't so pleasant to sit in little less sleep in. Stain mattress on the pullout and not to comfortable living room seating. Maybe give the carpets a deep clean or just get rid of carpet in the hallways

I’m a place where nothing is free, having a free parking was. a bonus. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was a complementary shuttle to Universal Orlando. I loved the breakfast they provided. And there was a very nice Japanese restaurant in a walking distance too. They were also very accommodating when we asked to leave the car for a whole day after our check out so thank you for that.

It was a bit dated and there were signs that they needed to update their bedding (spotlessly clean but had few holes from overuse).

We stayed here for 2 nights between selling our home and purchasing our new home. I loved that the resort was accomodating towards our dog. I also like that I could have cooked a meal in the suite if I wanted to. The continental breakfast was pretty good and they had a nice variety of items. The shower was really nice! After being so busy with moving, this was a nice relaxing place to stay for a couple of nights.

The beds could have been more comfortable.

The breakfast was awesome. The price was decent compared to Universal hotels. It was very close to Universal that we could walk. Had a kitchen and full refrigerator. I loved that it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved that the Kitchen had utensils. Loved that they got us a room right next to our other group members.

I wish the pillows were more comfortable. I'm not sure if the doors are metal or not but if they are I would suggest "Do not disturb" magnets for the doors instead of the thing that hangs on the door knob. Ours kept falling off. I wish the shower had a door so we weren't getting water all over the bathroom floor.

Staff was friendly, it was clean, spacious, close to shopping and parks. Breakfast was decent.

Our ac was not working in our room and we had to switch rooms and this may be a personal preference but my wife and I hated there is only one glass panel in the shower. I felt like water kept going out and she got cold when going to shave her legs because there was no door or curtain near where the foot prop was.

I liked how clean it was, the amenities, friendly staff.. especially the lady working the nighshift at the frontdesk. Did not catch her name Secondly, there is a shuttle to universal

That housekeeping kept putting one less bathtowel.. but that was no dealbreaker as the frontdesk assisted quick

Great location for Universal visits. Even with the $27 general parking fee at City Walk, you can't beat the price. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quiet - no street noise or noise from other guests. Temperature control for the room is also perfect. I like the room COLD when I sleep and it stayed at 64 degrees throughout the night.

The AC was quite noisy. The large metal cover over the actual AC unit would rattle very loudly every time the AC turned on. Because of the way the room was arranged, the AC unit was at the foot of the bed. Other times I've stayed in this hotel, the AC unit was in the living room and not a foot away from the bed, so the noise was not an issue. If you're a light sleeper, be sure to check the room layout before settling in.

The breakfast was a great bonus after a night out with friends. Hotel was clean and front desk staff was nice. Room was spacious and clean and had everything you needed it in. Had to ask for sheets for the sofa bed but it wasn’t an issue at all. Would definitely stay here again!

Location. It’s close to universal and not too far from down town but the actual street it’s on doesn’t have many stores to go to in walking distance if you need anything. If you have a car or rental though it won’t be an issue.

Enormous room, full kitchen fridge, real coffeemaker instead of single serve, accommodated all my requests, great breakfast. Walking distance to conference hotel and nearby to drugstore, fast food and sit down restaurants.

Nothing. I had a much better room than anyone at the official conference hotel!
