Universal's Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Really beautiful hotel, rooms were fantastic and everywhere was clean

Boat transfer was really slow (around 30 minutes total) and wished we knew how long it would take beforehand. A member of our party was double charged in the Starbucks in the lobby, they approached staff immediately and were told it will be refunded in a day or two. The following afternoon my family member went back in to say it hadn't been returned (we were leaving the country the following day and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything the staff could do before we left), staff at the Starbucks counter were not bothered and repeated that the money would be returned. It's now been 31 days and no return of money, my family member is having to contact the bank to get his money back.

The location was excellent. It was very convenient to come into the room during the afternoon heat, rest a bit and then go back to the theme parks. Ofcourse this was made possible only because we were given 3 bonus days with our 2 day park to park tickets, so we could space out our park rides. The room was quite reasonably sized for our family of 4. Also when we reported that our coffee/tea machine wasn't working, it was replaced without a fuss.

The 2 water bottles in the room charged at $7.50 each!!! That was ridiculous and I say this with a laugh. There's water available at the TukTuk /Starbucks point in the hotel that guests can use but this was something that we happened to see later - we weren't informed about it. What we also didn't appreciate was the person checking us out at the end of our stay - not one question about our stay, whether we liked it or not, or wishing us well; completely opposite to the very friendly welcome we received from the lady Ashlee, if I have the name correct, on the day we arrived.

I like the fact that we got universal express unlimited to use while we were staying there. This resort is expensive however. It was over 900 with tax a night for the four of us. Would I go again? Maybe when Epic Universe opens to check that out! The pool was very nice as it was heated. When we first arrived it was raining, but the pool was still nice and warm! The hot tub was relaxing as well and it was nice to be able to let my kids enjoy it with me. Check out was a breeze- I just texted them and they took care of it so we could enjoy the parks!

Parking was across the street in a lot and our key cards weren't working. I was also glad to cut down on some of the walking through city walk.

Location is A1. Rooms are immaculate, spotlessly clean and well sized with a great bathroom/shower area. We ate at the Islands restaurant and the food there was incredible. Had a couple of beverages within Jake’s bar as well, nice selection of drinks and interactions with the staff. The pool area is beautiful, the hotel itself oozes tranquility and relaxation, and is a perfect starting point for the Universal experience. Enjoyed it immensely and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely nothing not to like.

The location very close to the universal studios , plus ghe usage of ghe water taxi so easy & nice ride to the studios , the view from the room water front, the room was so clean and the bed & pillows were very comfortable, the nice smell in the reception.

I didn’t like ghe attitude of some of the consierge staff & ghe reception staff , while checking in they said I can’t have early check in so they will sent a mail that my room is ready & till 10,30 pm they didn’sent it , and while checking out the lady ag thr concierge desk told me as I checke in online, they will deduct the residual smount automatically but to make sure I went to aothet one from ghe reception staff She said to be I will pay at the moment so this was so weired to me why there are no standard policy to pay Atm or pay online! Plus she isisted to see my passport ,when I objected as it was in the bags and ghis is very strange to see my passport ehile I am checking out!

Beds are nice, hotel staff is really nice, rooms are well-decorated. We got a beautiful view of the theme parks on a "waterview" room. The boats to the parks are also a very useful feature. Pool area is beautiful.

My family found the air conditioning on the common areas and hallways too cold, and making our way from the pool to our room always made us afraid of catching a cold (specially my elderly parents). Also, some rooms require a bit of a long walk, as buildings are large. We would also have liked another exit from our building that was better located, for e.g., a nice exit on the base of the stairways, as we had to walk a lot to go the main building from our room on building 1 just to exit the hotel and then circle back all the way outside to walk to the citywalk or catch one of the boats.

Location: Wonderful! You can take the free water taxi to the city walk / Island of Adventure & Universal Florida Price: With unlimited Express and early entry, this is very important and saves time, no need to stand in line. Room: We booked two rooms, and they automatically offered us an adjoining room. I appreciate it very much!!! Staff: The counter allowed us to pick the patterns of the room cards. Everyone can choose their favorite character. I appreciate it very much!!! Room service: There is no water cooler but you can ask for free ice water.

Everything is wonderful. It is better to have water coolers.

The Royal Pacific is a very nice hotel with friendly customer service. The room was comfortable and beautifully furnished. Our view was beautiful. The proximity to the parks was perfect and very convenient. Also being able to receive the Universal express passes as part of our hotel stay is what made us decide to stay at the Royal Pacific, considering it was cheaper to stay there in order to get the express passes than to just pay for them separately and spend an extra $600 and still have to stay at a relatively expensive hotel a little farther away.

It’s a very, very expensive hotel. Also, my husband had some rolls at the sushi bar and said that the fish tasted off. Fortunately, he didn’t get sick from that but he said he would not eat there again. He said the raw tuna and salmon tasted fishy and not in a good way.

beautiful big family room with high ceilings. great bathroom stocked with everything you need. within 9 mins walk of Universal Studios (little further) and islands of adventure. water taxi to and from however we didn’t use as quicker to walk because of queues. we checked in around 7.15 and we’re done by 8.30. the unlimited express passes were a godsend as was the early entry into the park. Cheaper to book a night here than buy unlimited express passes for 2 days as you get passes from 7am the day you arrive and can use until park closes following checkout the next day.

wasn’t told we could check our bags safely in so left them in the car. Queues to get breakfast from Starbucks within hotel are huge first thing so ended up getting breakfasts in park later.

Nice modern resort next to Universal. Loved the huge resort pool with dozens of places to chill out and order drinks. Loved the water taxi to the Park. Hotel bars and restaurants were good. Loved the early access to the Universal Park that comes with the room. Ubered to this hotel from the airport.

Lobby was a crowded and check-in seemed slow. Not sure if that's a normal situation at a popular resort like this one. Ice machine was broken on our floor. Hotel room hallways were quite dark. Room didn't have much of a view but we didn't stay there for the view.
