Universal's Endless Summer Resort - Surfside Inn and Suites

The room was adorable. The pool was great. We got food from the restaurant near the pool which was excellent. All the staff were sweethearts. The gift shop had great stuff. The shuttle was great. also like being able to text the front desk.

We did not like that the room was billed as a two bedroom. One really one of the bedrooms was out in the living room. Also, would’ve liked to have two beds in the second bedroom. The main issue we had is that the first day housekeeping just did not clean our room at all. We absolutely did not put the do not disturb sign on our door at any time. We never touch the sign. The second day when housekeeping came because I texted the hotel about it. They left all our dirty towels and used empty shampoo packages in the bathroom. Housekeeping needs to up their game.

Room was decorated nice and the beds were quite comfortable. Easy access to the pool area. Loved having the available shuttle to take us to and from the theme parks. Another perk I liked by staying at this hotel we were able to get into the theme park an hour before the non-hotel people came in.

It was advertised as a two room suite but I didn't know that only the master bedroom had a door. Having teenage daughters I would have liked to known that the 2nd bedroom was an open concept.

The location was great, transportation to and from the parks was quick and easy. The decor was nice and the pool looked fun but didn’t use it as it is January. There’s a Starbucks and a food court for quick bites to eat. We stopped for breakfast at the food court- the pancakes were good but the other food was mediocre. Front desk staff were all very nice and friendly.

The walls are paper thin- you can hear everything. This made it hard to sleep at times. Parking was a little challenging because the parking garage was so full but other than that it was a decent place to stay.

This hotel was ideal - especially for a family of 2 adults and 2 big children (aged 16 & 20yrs) as they each had a bed and we had our own bedroom. The kitchenette was also ideal so we didn't have to buy breakfast and could keep stuff cold in the fridge. Perfect location for getting to all the parks! Great that it was just a shuttle bus ride away from Universal - including City Walk which was great for restaurants in the evenings.

Whilst it was great having the kitchenette with a fridge, it would have been slightly improved if this had been a little bit more equipped - proper cutlery and crockery and a toaster would have been great! The only other thing, for a group of 4, it would have been to have had the toilet separate from the bath/shower/sinks rather than the sinks being separate.

First time at a Universal Hotel...will definitely return. Bright, clean comfortable rooms, free wifi for multiple devices and great TV when it is time to put your feet up. The room had a bar fridge and microwave and was stocked with a few paper bowls, plates, coffee style take out cups and some single wrapped utensils. Enough to get you started until you did some shopping - there is a Walgreens directly across the street where you can get some basics. The cafeteria style restaurant offered enough of a selection of choices , plus a snack market and Starbucks onsite. The pool is huge and there is an on site bar and lots of lounge chairs for relaxing by the pool. The dedicated shuttle to the Universal Parks was great! Restaurants also within walking distance.

The shuttle can fill up quickly at peak times, so you may have to wait for the next one, or two...either that or catch a Dockside shuttle and walk across Universal Blvd. back to the Surfside.

Good location to both idrive and universal. Free shuttle bus to universal is great and you're waiting less than 10 mins. Hotel is really clean and modern. Beds are really comfy. More chilled vibe here vs Dockside. Nightly room rate was very good.

Food in the restaurant is expensive for what it is (thempark prices in hotel). No bar in the hotel, only out by the pool. Our room wasn't serviced every day. Can be noisy sometimes in the room at night as walls are quite thin. A/C was never fully off in the room and found it cold at times during the night.

Love this hotel. For a "value" property this exceeds every expectation. We stayed at dockside here during hurricane Ian last September when we were stuck for a few days and had to check out of the villa and this experience and how that hotel handled such a surge in occupancy made it a no brainer to stay again. This time we decided to try Surfside and were not disappointed. Staff are lovely, rooms comfortable and well appointed, food in the food court delicious. We are trying to stay in each of the Universal hotels in Orlando but this hotel and Dockside will be hotels that we return to in the very near future.

Nothing to not like. Guests around you can be a bit loud but noting that ear plugs cant help with :)

The location, huge pool, pool bar, hotel restaurant, fitness center, game room, universal souvenir store and Starbucks on site!! I basically loved everything about it!

The one and only thing I didn’t like about the property was the flooring of the indoor hotel restaurant. It’s a hard grainy type of flooring, not carpet or tile. It’s obvious that guests walked in there while their feet were wet or really dirty so there’s discoloration. Despite the flooring, it was still very clean and neat! My family and I agreed it would look much better and be easier to clean with tiles instead though.

Amazing room size, I stayed in different hotels during my recent visit to the US, some were 4-stars hotels and they aren't a match to Surfside! I booked the family suite, it was spacious, clean, and very accommodating to a big family of 5. The hotel provides shuttles to Universal parks and city walk continuously. There is a lovely swimming pool where kids had fun, and also a Beach club restaurant that has a decent selection of food and also there is a Starbuck in the hotel. Staff were very friendly, and Liza, who helped us at check-in, was very helpful and provided us with all the information we need.

I believe bedding can be upgraded a little.

Location to Universal parks and the shuttle services were super. The cost was reasonable and the room was good size for price. The reception lady who checked us in and out was beyond delightful. The pool being open to 11 allowed the smalls to chill in the evenings when back from parks. The WiFi was decent. Lots of amenities local for shops and food.

The food in cafe is bit pricey for what it is and was only reasonable (just) quality. The suite for 6 is a Little snug (the table only had 3 chairs) but even with that we would book again as the cost far outweighed the desire for a little more space.
