Bliss By The Sea

Anya promptly responded to any messages we’d send. The breakfast was delicious! They had hot and cold items. The jacuzzi tub in the room was phenomenal. The location is very convenient for going to the beach! It was about a 2 minute drive to Matanzas. There was a smart tv in the room that had streaming subscriptions we could use. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, but still firm so you don’t wake up with a thrown out back. The dock/fishing pier was pretty cool. There was fishing poles there for people to use. There were also a couple of kayaks. There’s 2 tiny pools outside on the terrace but we never went in them. There’s a DELICIOUS restaurant next door that we tried out. One of the best crab cakes I’ve had in awhile! They also offer complimentary WiFi. The mini fridge in the room was the perfect size for the little bit of food and drinks we brought with us. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked an extra night! We didn’t even have to switch rooms when we did.

The only suggestion I have would be to put some kind of partition on the shared balcony. The people in the room next door would sit on our side and be talking loudly literally right outside the door.

I found this property online through Bookings.com and it was the perfect location for the purpose of our visit. South of St Augustine and close to the Atlantic beaches All communications and dealings were done on line and the procedure was excellent. We received our access code to the premises and our room by phone message. The room was class, very clean and the bed was super comfy. A beautiful self-service breakfast is available on the ground floor. There is an outside dining area at the rear and a cool boardwalk leads down to the inner waterways. Access to the beautiful beaches on the Atlantic coast are just up to be road. We will definitely be back to this gorgeous property. 10/10.

Location and peaceful

This little hotel was such a wonderful surprise! It has a beautiful theme and layout to it. The hotel room was gorgeous, big beautiful bed, lots of space to store clothing, THE SPA BATH WAS TO DIE FOR. The terrace view was incredible at sunrise and sunset. Their breakfast was great every morning, always slightly different, which I appreciated. I’ve seen some reviews say that the pools are small, and they are, but they’re really cozy in my opinion, it’s easy to have them all to yourself and create sweet memories without a ton of people around. The beach is super close, not close enough to walk but like a 5 min drive max. Very close to the smaller fort, and a 15-20 minute drive to the historic district so I’d say it’s close to all of the major attractions of St. Augustine.

The main issue I had in the room was the A/C, for whatever reason, the A/C has a timer set where it turn off after 11:30pm and 6:30 am. Every night for 3 nights, we woke in the middle of the night SWEATING. There was no way to override it as you needed a code. I would have brought up the issue with a hotel worker but for the 4 days and 3 nights we stayed there, we did not see 1 person inside of the hotel working. We saw groundskeepers and such but not one office/desk person. I would only correspond via calls or texts but never interacted with someone directly. That wasn’t a major problem for me, but it wasn’t a positive thing either so I’d thought I’d mention it.

Enjoyed Memorial Day weekend at this facility in the Crescent Beach area. Very clean, and comfortable facility, which is really important to me. The facility is also very unique, but in a good way. Our room had a walk-in shower, which I really liked, and a balcony facing A1A. This is not a beachfront facility, but there are multiple areas to access the beach within minutes of the facility. Anna, and the staff were great, they were very professional, and responsive to a few issues we had, that included some misconduct by other guests. They took care of the situation ASAP, and it was very much appreciated. Every vacation destination needs an Anna that's just a text message, or phone call away. I would definitely recommend Bliss By The Sea to anyone looking to stay in the St. Augustine/Crescent Beach area.

The only issues we had were addressed by the staff, and quickly, and professionally resolved. This place just recently opened, and seems to have endless potential in the future.

Beautiful little hotel that was more of a BnB. We were pleasantly surprised how nice everything was. Antiques in the room, a beautiful shared balcony overlooking the inter coastal waterway- that was a surprise as well. We had a corner room so lots of windows and jetted spa tub in the bathroom. Bed was huge and very comfortable. There were 2 little pools that looked nice, but we didn’t use them. Breakfast was simple, but very tasty- fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, eggs, etc. we loved the little pier that went all the way out to the water. We would 100% stay here again!

I don’t think it’s considered a hotel more of an Airbnb. you walk in and there is no staff. You are assigned a room ahead of time with a door code no coffee, no glasses, wonderful showers, clean lobby, soft Japanese type music and decor. has two little small outdoor pools with jets almost like a oversized, hot tub.  you can walk down to the river behind the Bliss restaurant next-door.

it’s a new property and needed to get the kinks out of a few issues hard to control the temperature. She had to control it from her house just nothing in the lobby area. You couldn’t purchase anything it was just a sitting area.  when I called her and ask for some glasses or things there’s a gentleman that lives upstairs I guess and works at the property brought down some ice, water and glasses.

Breakfast was a little hit and miss. Self help, but not a lot of instructions as to where to find items such as plates etc. Otherwise the selection was decent. Location excellent and the decor and facilities in the room were outstanding. We enjoyed the walk down to the pier in the morning.

Hotel was still brand new and some kinks were being sorted out. Main one was needing some more guidance on the self help breakfast, maybe label the drawers, cupboards etc where things are.

We loved the style of the hotel and location! Breakfast was fantastic and good range of times for it. Our only con would be that you can hear everything around, it feels a little bit less private and the bed was very hard. We enjoyed our stay overall and the price is surely amazing for what you get !

We loved the way our room was decorated. The art work was beautiful, room was comfortable. The balcony was great scenery. We had fun walking on the boardwalk in the back by the water. Great time at Bliss by the Sea!

The air conditioning was confusing and didn't quite know how to operate it. Besides that, a microwave would have been nice to have in our room or downstairs. Other then that everything was great.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and Anna was wonderful in assisting us. Our room was so very pretty, the breakfast was great and the dock that carried us to overlook the Intercostal was breath taking . Bliss By The Sea only opened less than two weeks ago when we found it online and we were very impressed . Can’t wait to go back !
