Best Western Plus Lake Lanier Gainesville Hotel & Suites

We were there for the Falcons training camp, so the location was GREAT! We were about 3-5 minutes away, depending on traffic. The hotel was very clean!!! Exceptional!! The staff was amazing! Very helpful with ideas of things to do with my 4 year old when she was born after the Falcon practice. Very helpful when it came to matters of the hotel, needing extra towels, sheets etc... The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well!! My daughter said the pancakes were shaped like flowers 😁. After adding sprinkles and chocolate to her pancakes, she said they tasted amazing! This will be my go to hotel from now on!!!!!

The lobby was very clean and welcoming and had a decent mini-store if you forgot anything. The room was VERY clean and the daily cleaning while we were out of the room was great. The breakfast was fine—nothing incredible but there were pancakes, bacon, egg, sausage, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and some fruit so can’t complain. All in all, this is probably the best place to stay in the area.

Espresso machine was unfortunately broken while we were there—likely from a bad storm that happened on our first night. The breakfast area could’ve had a better flow of traffic because it got crowded but honestly it was fine.

We liked the Large comfortable room with sofa & chair & big screen tv. Coffee/cappuccino machine in lobby was a nice touch. The front desk staff was friendly & available 24/7. Housekeeping staff was very friendly & helpful. Great location near car rental, grocery stores, fast food & nail/hair salons which came in handy as we were in town for a wedding. Ample parking & safe location.

We asked for a quiet room but our room faces the front parking lot & we heard car alarms all hours of the night. The pool is tiny. The eggs at breakfast were terrible in our opinion but it was complimentary so we didn’t complain - just didn’t eat it.

First of all, I would really like to thank Michael from the reception. I had some rough (not related to the hotel) days during my time in the Oakwood area, but Michael really brightened up those days. Best Western can be really proud to have him as one of their employees. Beside that, the location is also something worth noting: it's close to the highway but you don't hear the traffic, it's close to several dinner option, and it's within reasonable driving distance of Atlanta / Athens / Helen / Toccoa / Dahlonega / ... I liked the new shower cabin.

My room could have been cleaner (e.g. carpets). It wouldn't hurt to replace the sheets and curtains with new ones either.

The hotel room/bathroom/sheets were clean. The beds were comfortable. Loved the water pressure of the shower. Although, it is a pet friendly hotel; it did not smell. I loved the aroma coming from the lobby as you enter the building. The staff was friendly, especially the housekeeper in charge of our room. I told the staff that I didn’t need my room cleaned, but she still knocked on my door to see if I needed anything.

I felt like the parking lot was a little tight, but we still had places to park when returning late to the property.

I stayed here 8 days once, and this was very convenient in regards to the location and everyone there was so sweet and understanding! I was impressed by the room size, the peace, the cleanliness, and the hospitality. If I could I would stay there long time just because of the staff and location alone.

I didn’t like how it wasn’t an extended stay hotel, or the fact that they don’t do monthly rates, because I surely would have lived there! Oh and they could add slightly a bigger counter space for the kitchenette area also.

Michael, who was checking me in was PHENOMENAL!!! I had trouble with booking.com, and stood around for an hour as we tried to resolve it. It was late. I was tired. Michael was helpful, comforting, and kind. That's a top-notch employee right there who deserves a raise! The room was beautiful and very clean, the bed was super comfortable. I have difficulty finding gluten-free breakfasts that I can eat at hotels, but Best Western Plus had eggs, sausage and bacon, so it was definitely a bonus.

There wasn't anything I disliked about my stay.

This hotel is clean & cozy. It’s not super fancy but lovely rooms at a reasonable price, which is always great to find when traveling with the family. Also, the beds were seriously the most comfortable ones I’ve ever stayed in - as good (and in some cases, better!) than the Ritz Carlton and other high-end properties. If you’re looking to sink into a luxurious sleep after a long day of driving, I encourage you to give it a try.

I stay here frequently (every few months), and the facility is always very clean. Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I feel very safe here whilst traveling alone, which is extremely important. Whenever I'm in the area, it's where I stay, I'm willing to pay more to stay here.

I have nothing bad to say. Anything I needed was immediately handled.

I walked in the hotel to checkin. Before I walked alway In I smelled a very beautiful scent. This Hotel is one of the best smelling hotel I been in to the scen was all through the hotel, when I asked the front desk what was the name of the scent he said the housekeepers makes it.. Our room was very clean spacious. The bed were very comfortable. If my family and I had to return to Gainesville we will differently stay again. Good Job Best Western Plus..

We don't care to much for the breakfast, the eggs was salty . There breakfast could've been better.
