McMillan Inn

Absolutely loved the Inn and would recommend to friends and family. The location is perfect for getting around Savannah and you are surrounded by so many historical museums and houses. Restaurants and pubs are close by. The staff were attentive to our needs and went out of their way to ensure we were all catered for. Breakfast is typical southern fare, so a tad unusual for the UK palate but was very well cooked and presented.

If I was lucky enough to visit again, I would definitely want a bigger room. We were in the Whittaker and knew it was on the small side, but the positive was that it was accessible from the street and did not have to maneuver the stairs at the front.

On our visit to Savannah, we stayed 2 nights in the Forsythe Room, 1st floor up 1 flight of stairs. It was beautifully furnished. The King bed was super comfortable. Fireplace was excellent. The morning breakfast was fabulous. So much food and it so was delicious. These hosts go way beyond the normal expectancy of hosts during your stay. You will love staying here! This place is absolutely divine! I cannot express into words how wonderful it truly is! I read most of the reviews and I was blown away but now I understand why. The owners were fabulous. We were in the Layfette room and the bed was so comfy! The breakfast and fellowship was great! The location was amazing! I have been to Savannah atleast 10 times and this was my favorite trip! I was suprised with an engagement at Forsyth park which is very close by. We were literally able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. This is your GO TO place. I cannot wait to go again. I am picky and this was hands down best place ever!!!!

Easy to find, good parking, Breakfast food prepared excellent and dining room and service to a very high standard. Extremely helpful staff. Very interesting old building. Easy walk to main attractions and 10/15 mins to the river. Pool area small but lovely and pool warm. A lovely touch was fresh cakes and biscuits served each afternoon.

Full breakfast not served until 915 and we had an early start each day. They did try to accommodate this but best to check.

Everything was absolutely picture perfect! The room was absolutely beautiful and the bed was so comfy and the breakfast was outstanding every morning and the afternoon cookies were delicious! Eric and Melissa the hosts are the nicest people and so accommodating. The pool and area around the pool looks like a villa in Italy and the location is perfect for walking to Everything. I will definitely stay there again and recommend to people.

Personally touch and great presentation. The decor is very nice. 👍 The host welcomed us as we arrived outside and was very personable in a grand tour of this lovely building. He made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Yes we will stay again when we visit Savanah ♥️

As two seniors, it was difficult getting on and off the bed which was very high. But we had some laughs about the struggle. And the claw foot tub was difficult to step into. Great for younger couple though.

The breakfast was great. A little of this, a little of that. Everything was home made, and the chefs would fix you something else if you asked. Freshly baked Peach cobbler was a great surprise for breakfast. Coffee, tea and cookies were available all the time. We had a free roam of the house to search for ice tea or snacks after hours. We were lucky to be able to park on the street for two straight days without moving our car. It was a good experience.

Nothing too serious..but..the double doors leading to our living area made some noise when opening and closing. Just needs some shaving maybe. We were afraid we’d wake up the room next to us.

Though it was about a 20 minute walk to the riverfront, that wasn't a problem for my friend and me. We walked the entire historic area multiple times and were less than a block from the parade route for St. Patrick's day. The house is beautiful and well maintained, but the armoire in our room had a very loud and squeaky door that needed some work. If stairs are a problem for you, don't stay here. There are about 10 stairs to the porch and another 20 to the second floor.

I was disappointed in the breakfast. We had fried chicken tenders and potatoes one day. Another day it was some type of potato casserole for the main course. Not what I expect from a B&B.

Such a gorgeous place..bed so comfy..pool lovely. Breakfast was amazing,differentceach morning,but all delicious. Monica was a fabulous house keeper/cook..she even took us to the river front,as it was so hot to walk...Melissa and her son keep it so beautiful..the furniture and decor is perfect..would definitely recommend the Mcmillan Inn to everybody...
