Residence Inn Savannah Downtown Historic District

The Downtown Historic district is so beautiful and full of culture and the hotel amplified that feeling. I like how close the hotel is the cities entrance as well. The actual property itself was also great. The design of the pool, courtyard and lounge areas were amazing, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The absolutely smallest complaint that I could have with this location is that the pool looked like it hadn’t been skimmed for leaves and bugs in at least a day or so; a manageable amount to where I didn’t find it gross or unsanitary, but just something I noticed.

We traveled to Savannah to celebrate my mom's 83rd birthday. We arrived several hours before check-in of 3pm. Unfortunately, an early check-in couldn't be promised as the property was completely booked the night before. We were so very surprised and so thankful to find that Denise Chisolm, the GM, had our room cleaned so that my mom didn't have to wait in the lobby for hours! She went above and beyond to accommodate our situation. Truly added a special touch to the birthday weekend!! Jihon, from Housekeeping got our room ready and was so lovely during our entire stay. We have to praise the entire staff, from management, front desk, housekeeping, breakfast service and valet for showing us true Southern hospitality and grace! We will look forward to visiting Savannah again and will definitely stay at the Residence Inn Downtown Historic District again!!

I liked that it was so close to the trolly services and a gas station. The building was attractive. The rooms were spacious. I want to complement the staff because they were all very nice and friendly.

After having a very nice looking room we were moved to another, not sure why (I was told over the phone but there was so much noise where I was that I couldn't hear, and the person was off by the time I got to the motel and no one knew why we needed to be moved.) The room we were moved to was slightly less nice, but the headboard was peeling vinyl and look awful, seemed dirty looking and it ruined the mood of the room. #207. They gave us a free night because of moving which I thought was very generous and appreciated. I just think that headboard should have been repaired before anyone was placed in that room. Seemed to go from nice room to ugly room. Otherwise it was a nice motel and the staff was very nice.

The staff was awesome and the location was great! It is about a mile from River Street and even less to most things in downtown. The facilities and pool were very clean and we enjoyed our stay alot!

The only thing we didn’t like is that there was a spot of carpet in our room just outside the bathroom that was damp for some reason, and the room smelled funny the first day we checked in. We were hardly there and only planned to stay two nights so this was not something that we reported or gave them an opportunity to correct.

The staff was very attentive always there to help , very nice clean hotel rooms were clean beds comfortable, breakfast was good surprisingly coffee was good,we opted for valet parking Dennis the valet was excellent he recommended places to eat and things to do always friendly and there to help or just have conversation,the staff in general were amazing would definitely recommend to friends , family or anyone ...

There really wasn't anything I didn't like about our stay the only downfall was the rain..

Just next to downtown, nice lobby area, clean and comfortable room with well equipped kitchenette, solid complimentary breakfast and kind and helpful staff. Overall ok value

Stayed over christmas, so maybe they were short on staff: At Breakfast they were overwhelmed by the number of guests and couldn‘t clean up and fill up the buffet. No housekeeping (while we did not expressly ask for it). Valet at 30$ per night. Street-parked around the corner.

The pool area is great. The location is convenient to the historic area and to SCAD. Room with sofa bed was large enough for our party of three. Staff was responsive when asked for assistance

The room needs updating as items are at the end of useful life (fabric is torn, damaged chair, worn spots in carpet, ice maker in fridge malfunctioning). Sofa bed needs a better mattress

Cleveland and the young lady at the front desk each morning were exceptional. Both were so accommodating and friendly. MArriott is extremely luck to have them on board!

The housekeeping staff were the total opposite from the front staff. I did not get her name, housekeeping lead on the 3rd floor on Friday (2/19) when my husband checked in was extremely rude and not helpful..

Great pool!

If you want to have a relaxed and sufficient breakfast, you should get up early. Various things were not refilled and there was not enough space for the guests. Ultimately, however, a little outside the city center.
