Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South, an IHG Hotel

I booked this hotel for Gen Con, and there's a lot to like about it. The room was nice and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. It had a nice commons area. The breakfast was pretty great---good enough that I didn't need to grab a breakfast on the way to the convention each morning. The price was reasonable. I may book this hotel for next year.

I'm not sure why, but one of the elevators had a revolting, musty stench about it. It was super weird as the rest of the hotel was spotless, and the room was perfect. Maybe it was a one time incident? While the smell was pretty bad, it won't deter me from booking this hotel again. It was literally the only thing that wasn't perfect about this hotel.

The room was large and the employees were very nice everything was clean

How hot the room was at night, when they ran out of pancake mix instead of replacing it they just turned machine off , how to enter the hotel parking lot you can only be coming from one direction which makes for a lot of unnecessary u turns. And finally a credit card issue between my bank and the hotel which resulted in me my 3yo son and a good friend of mine to get kicked out of hotel. Oh and sometimes when entering elevator it smelled awful like explosive diarrhea ....

The room was clean & neat. The bed was comfortable. I work for a health department & always check for bedbugs and was pleased to find no signs. Breakfast was great with many options. Staff was friendly.

The toiletries were attached to the wall which was nice, but I failed to realize that there were 2 conditioners and no shampoo until I was in the shower :(. The gym was much smaller than it appeared in the online photos and it was dirty. There was no bottled water in the room.

The area wasnt the greatest and looked a little sketchy but it was fine. We had no problems The Beds were super comfy and my husband and I usually take our own pillows every where we go. We forgot them this time but theirs were great and there were a lot of pillows. Very nice bedding. There room was large with plenty of space. Bathroom had very long counter and looked like it had been remodeled recently. I would definitely stay here again

The overall property was above average. The pool could use a good cleaning. The common areas were clean and inviting. Staff was very friendly. Room 316 - Bed was comfortable. However the fire alarm was hanging by a wire. There was a hole in the blind with a Kleenex covering the hole. Bathroom doors were beaten up but that tends to happen over time.

The location of the property is on a very busy street so you will have difficulty trying to exit the property.

Breakfast was good. Location was convenient with easy access to most everything. Really loved the size of the room and everything was exceptionally clean and modern.

The television was sort of small for the room and the channel selection was minimal. I was unable to watch my favorite tv program because the channel was not available at the motel.

The beds were comfortable. Rooms were very clean staff was friendly. The hot breakfast was the best we have had in any hotel we have been in the past several months. These was our third weekend in a hotel since Jan.

Very disappointing that the pool was closed due to waiting on parts for the heater and pump.

the main road was under maintenance right at hotel but that’s everywhere even our home TX so we were able to get everywhere from Indy to Whiteland and jn between easily, once we learned the major streets and expressways

Friendly staff, hotel was clean despite being full on Indy 500 weekend and multiple youth baseball teams. Breakfast was good and had variety.

Restaurants nearby were mainly fast food, the surrounding area seemed a little depressed but the hotel was nice.

Watching young children eat pancakes while Fox “needs” was being fed to them, including the attempted murde of a Supreme Court judge! When speaking to manager, I understand it’s corporate policy to show”news” .The weather channel is news. Adults have phones for news! Family vacation should not include daily crime & nonsense !
